Another you didn't mention was Nellies in Belmont, about 30 mins from Uptown west. It's southern cooking owned by the Jonas Brothers parents. It's named after their grandmother. You may see a brother show up from time to time.

I was at the airport for travel and saw that the"#1 thing to do in Charlotte" was the Billy Graham blah blah blah". I almost cried, thinking people would just write it off as a place that, if that's all there is, I'm the fk outta here. Cuz, I'd be like, well, I never need to come here again if that's the best thing they got. Also, yankees and democrats, GTFO and go back from where you came from please.

Welcome! I hope you enjoy our city. An interesting way to spend a couple of hours might be to take the light rail to the southern end in Pineville, a few miles from the SC border. Then take it all the way north to the end at UNC Charlotte. Get off and explore wherever the mood strikes. There is a phone app that shows the schedule, and another one to buy tickets. It’s quiet, comfortable and safe.
