James Hound were a series of cartoons released from the Terrytoons cartoon studio during the waning days of the Golden Age of American Animation. The cartoons, released between 1966 and '67 were the creation of a young animator named Ralph Bakshi. This entry might have been the first one released-- actual releases dates being somewhat fuzzy

If Ralph Bakshi had rebooted this series two decades later, Miss Q would definitely look more like Holli Would...

This series has a touch of the "Danger Mouse" about it.
