Should I first use leak sealant and then charge it with refrigerant or vice versa?

Used to recharge A/Cs by pressure. Now use a machine to recharge by weight of gas. Will never go back to the old method. Get it done properly it is worth the extra bucks.

I was told by mechanic that you want to bleed the air out of the hose before recharging your A/C 😮

One should use a REAL gauge set and add the refrigerant by weight. Everything else is guessing.

cans are now self sealing and require a different access. that piercing gauge you are showing will not work with the new cans! Update your videos for the sake of newbies man!

dont do it this way folks--- evacuate your system- get the moisture out by putting your system on 30 mercury of vacuum-- use the gauges abd the vacuum pump--- your parts dealer orielly advance and autozome will lend u the tools--- do it the right way- the wrong way will be thousands of dollars in damges--- this technique is a bandaid that he is teaching,,, and never efver ever EVER EVER PUT SEALANT INTO YOUR SYSTEM... ALL SYTEMS LEAK ITS JUST THE FACT OF LIFE--- IF IT DONT HOLD THEN IT HAS TO BE PREPARED PROPERLY-- SEALANT CLOGS ORIFICESM CONDENSORERS AND GLUES THE COMPRESSOR UNTIL IT FRAGS --- THEN YOU BUYING A WHOLE NEW SYSTEM OR A NEW CAR... GO TO FOUR SEASONS AC SUPPLY faq I BELEIVE THE 6TH QUESTION ADDRESSES THIS. AND 4 SEASONS IS THE BEST SUPPLIER OF AC PARTS

There is a lot of bad information here. As for low pressure side pressure, from hearing experts they say generally , low side pressure is 1/2 ambient air temperature. So if its 90" out when adding gas low side pressure would be about 45. High side pressure 2 x ambient air temperature so at 90 degrees, high side would be up to 180 if your using a gauge set. But your car manufacturer likely gives the exact specs numbers they set per temperature. Also on purging this short line (generally with a short line like this they don't say anything about purging the line), but I believe that the can valve would need to be slightly opened just as connecting to low side to hear a hiss. Otherwise that line is open to atmosphere and will fill right back with air when valve is closed. Also, not holding can upside down. Can's says hold it 12 oclock position and shake/rotate from 12 to 3 oclock position meaning the top of the coolant gas can from straight up (12 noon to 3pm).

This is really good. Best one i think and Ive been watching a bunch of these. One thing i have to say is it seems like MY CAR is the only car around where the opening is not just sitting right up top, nice and easy, clear as day, mine is like under the freakin front wheel up inside the damn fender, like ridiculous, ill need a 20 foot hose to be able to see the gauge. Whyyyyyy??? I can't explain how literally any little thing i do seems like it is just way more difficult than it is supposed to be!!!! Waaaa waaa waaaa 👶😫😩😤 just had to vent. Ps i have a ford focus 2003.

The other refrigerate beside the 134a was R12, and it was not sold over the counter because in order to service the R12 system, you had to have a license, and it was a must-have to have a recover/recharging machine because you couldn't let this freon into the air it was illegal and could kill everyone in a shop.

See how that do it yourself can has the squeeze handle/connector on top of the can.? Is it ok to just buy a small can and add the squeeze handle/connector to the small 12 ounce can? And what if it say's it's already full (in the green area) but I keep putting more in untill I'm in the yellow area?

After connecting the blue hose, there was no way to purge it of air/humidity before it entered the system?!., like with a real manifold or you loosen the connections slightly until you have some refrigerant coming out to be safe for the system.

Is it normal the clutch to engage every 10-15 seconds regardless if the AC is set or high or low? I would've thought that when on low it should take longer cycles than when AC is set on max but it does not seem to make a difference.

I would not recommend using this hose. There is another kind where the gauge is in the middle. On one end is a conventional can tap, and on the other end is the service port connector with its own valve. These range in length from 18 inches to 4 feet. You should buy the longer one. Pay attention to which style can tap is provided. The kind used for piercing-type cans is different from the kinds that are self-sealing.
