Lovely selection of plants 🪴 I had problems with fungus gnats in the early days and there are several ways to help overcome them.
1 use sterile soil
2 bottom water (very effective)
3 diatomaceous earth on the top of the soil (food grade and wear a mask when handling)
4 mosquito bits
5 hydrogen peroxide (soil will sizzle but gets rid of the eggs with no effect on plants roots)
About 6 months ago I stopped using soil altogether and transferred all my houseplants to Lechuza Pon / semi-hydro. Pon can be reused again and again (sterilise it though) the slow release fertiliser lasts about 6 months but I use an all in liquid fertiliser called Liquid Gold Leaf. Since the transition the plants have been so happy, plenty of growth and as there is no soil fungus gnats have nowhere to breed. I have philodendrons, Pothos, Hoyas, snake plants, cactus, monstera, zz plants, Ivy, peace lily, spider plants, pilea, aspidistra, transcantia, oxalis and string of hearts (over 70 plants in all).... all of them in pon. Grown cuttings and seeds in it too, I guess you could say I love the stuff ❤️😁. Good luck with your plant journey 😊

I use organic soil and I personally think it's just as bad if not worse. You just have to take some preventive measures and stay on top of it. I use a vingegar, dawn, water and sugar mixture in a bowl and keep in my plant area for a few days. It's a bit smelly but it works for both mosquitoes and gnats. Let me know what you think.

Get you a glass of water dishwashing liquid and vinegar loaded with vinegar and dishwashing liquid and make it sucks up put about a plants with the nets and you'll be surprised how many you get just put your little cups all over the house like that it will catch them.Mama long Greenville Tx 😘

Mosquito bits will help with the gnats. I used a nylon tea bag, Amazon. Fill the tea bags and place it in your watering vessel and water as usual. Nice tour, thanks.
