What are your favorite railfanning / transitfanning places in Philadelphia?
ОтветитьNice
Ответить"Caution: Bus is turning." Something you won't hear in Seattle. 😊
ОтветитьComing from Germany as a tourist, I took a train to Gravers to see two architectural highlights, the station and a private home.
It was quite confusing that I paid in the train on the way back because the station was beautiful but not equipped with ticket machines. Fortunately, there was a friendly employee in the station in Philadelphia who prepared me for that.
SEPTA, PATCO but not NJ Transit buses or Atlantic City line.
ОтветитьA plethora of Philly transit. Thanks Tim💚👌😊
ОтветитьGrew up in Philadelphia and remember many of those lines. Back then there were more trolley lines.
ОтветитьBakü walk transportion
ОтветитьBakü Azerbaijan
ОтветитьCongratulations!
ОтветитьPhiladelphia may have the most varied mass transit anywhere! Subways, buses, commuter rail, PATCO, 3 trolley bus lines, 5 trolley lines with one driver control, 2 trolley lines with front and back control. And whatever we should call the Norristown line!
ОтветитьYou forgot the double end trolleys out in the suburbs. They run to Media and Sharon Hill. Those cars have pantographs.
ОтветитьI still consider SEPTA to be MBTA's Philadelphian counterpart despite the T no longer using trolleybuses. The Silver Line's Neoplan dual-modes are very close to retiring and will be replaced with hybrid Xcelsiors.
Ответитьwe've got so many great modes here in Philadelphia. SEPTA is a really diverse network that, while not perfect, is still way ahead of so many cities here in the US.
