I think buying a giant SUV and pretending to care about the environment is a tad hypocritical. That's why they went with animal leather seats only. Their clients may as well be honest with themselves.

Dear volkswagen and other brands, just because tesla seems so populair with all their screens, doesnt mean every body wants this. Tesla spend very much time and research into making it simple and easy. did anybody see the inside of this car with touch bottons on the stearing wheel. Its retarded. Just give me nice normal buttons for volume temp etc. Im driving the car and dont want to look at some touch shit thing..

It'll probably cost more than a Porsche Cayenne in some markets (the regular r-line Touareg already does here in Finland) so I'm questioning why people would buy a Volkswagen at that price point. The regular Touareg already seems like a niche vehicle.

I don`t find nothing wrong with old R. VW should be proud of theirs heritage.

Looks great, but the high price, low value for money, and low predicted reliability keeps me from being interested.

Hybrids are a gimmick I'm afraid and already to be banned in the UK.. The only way they might work is to go more EV biased, i.e. a very small back up engine with more powerful EV batteries and motors giving longer range. Why do manufacturers think we all want power with hybrids? we don't, the equivalent power of say a 3L V6 is more than adequate..

Sadly, we Americans prefer our VW's bigger and cheaper than European consumers. So we get the Atlas and have lost the excellent Touargeg.

The Touareg actually looks really nice, unlike the new Golf which looks absolutely hideous.

The colour looks great. I like the idea of the PHEV in such a large vehicle. In fact, I can't figure out why they didn't make the new Atlas Cross sport a PHEV. And I couldn't agree with you more about the leather. Come on guys, give the customer the choice.

Also, you should call up all of the OEMs and ask them to film all the cars at Geneva before they are forced to move them. They are all there, they might as well get some coverage out of it.

Hey take it from me. Don't buy them. They're no good. The atlas has problems. And the Touareg has problems. I had a 20/20 I replaced it.

Why can’t VW give it’s clientele the option of sustainable seat materials at least? I lose so much respect for manufacturers that can’t be bothered to even make it an option

My 2015 Touareg has leatherette interior so it appears that Volkswagen does understand about sustainability however I imagine that they add leather because more people want it over sustainable materials.

On another note, I’m not impressed with the new body shape of the Touareg. It’s trading elegance for a more truck-like shape.

Guttted.....would have preferred an rs3 engined small to medium suv in the guise of a Tiguan R instead tbh

It's a VW Cayenne e-hybrid!

VW should turn all of their FWD based AWD systems into RWD based AWD systems in all models. Tiguan is a great car about exterior & interior, space size build quality, look etc. perfect but it feels like VW purposely keep it under its true performance potential. FWD based AWD system is really annoying (From my perspective completely useless and better to get FWD in that sense!), steering, engine performance etc. whatever they do, they somehow turn that car into a slow or weak performing car compare to many competitions.
Goddamn Golf R can easily be tuned up to 400 + HP, some serious work and it becomes 800 HP exsotic/super car killer hot hatch.
Tiguan is almost the same car as Golf R but performance is not anywhere near Golf R.
I believe Tiguar would be way faster than Audi SQ5, Porsche Macan S etc. if they tune it like Golf R or VW turns it into a Golf R in Tiguan body.

If they put the interior of this into the arteon.....they would have something very serious on their hands lol. But I know most would just say buy an audi a5 or something, but I like the exterior of the arteon better. Just my humbled opinion
