My daughter has two very close girlfriends and they all had their first child around the same time. A few years later they all got pregnant and very close together again. My daughter and one of the girlfriends now both had a boy and a girl, one of each. But the other girlfriend had another boy. She was so distraught, mad and extremely upset that she aired out exactly what she was feeling to my daughter and the other girlfriend and she struggled to be happy for them and was constantly crying at them. Unfortunately she never fully bonded with her second son and rarely speaks about him. He was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4 and she still hasn’t got time for him. It upset my daughter so much that she has kept her at arm’s length for many years now. My daughter also feels so guilty ❤

For me, jealousy is “why did that happen for you and not me? What did you do to deserve that?”
And envy is
“It’s so wonderful that happened for you. You worked hard and you so deserve it and I’m really proud of you. I’d love for that to happen to me too”

So 1. I was jealous of people who had paid off their mortgage, until we did in 2016. 2. I was jealous of people who had had a hysterectomy, until i had one sept 2021 and i was jealous of people who had seen tom cruise with there own eyes til i did at the top gun maverick film premiere in London. Now im not jealous of anyone

If they are jealous of you they are dangerous. Friends aren’t supposed to cause harm.

It's not jealous it's just disappointment that In your groups of friends your the one that never gets anywhere then watch them get closer because they are in the same place, you become a third wheel out of no fault of your own, you just decide to stay by yourself

If you were a real friend, you wouldn’t be jealous.
