You nailed it! What we were missing this season, what we missed in big games was the energy, pace, and control that today’s squad with the 3 new young signings gave us! The midfield looked fresh, composed, and physical when it needed to be with Nico winning all his duels. To your point about Gundo, he was actually brilliant today with his passing range, hitting short, long and through passes, and helped us retain possession. He looks like a different player when you put an actual DM alongside him. Our defense looked so much more robust and dynamic with Khusanov and Stones. What to say about the forwards? Marmoush, Foden, Savinho, Haaland all in their early 20’s, full of energy, having a go at defenders and just being restless. Today’s team stroke a perfect balance between technically sound, fast, and physical players. This should be our starting 11 for all the upcoming big games this season, provided we can keep them all fit!

Today felt like there was a real 'changing of the guard' moment at City. One that was clearly very overdue. Huge respect to the players that have achieved so much for us, the fans, but today felt like a turning point.

Lewis is to small and light weight he's a average player and not at the required level. Yes he's a squad player, but nothing more we need to buy a full back in the summer with speed, talent , height and strengh.

great team performance... the best of the season so far... everyone performed so solidly... and we were also very good at preventing a good team like Newcastle from creating zero goal opportunities... we were very close to perfection... we are still missing something... our team can have the right margins to improve further... with the return of the injured players in the short term and the addition of the new signings we can get something sensible out of this tormented season and fight for something more... we can still give meaning to this season and perhaps worry an opponent like Real Madrid from the next match... it will be tough at the Santiago Bernabéu... but if we play with such solidity as a team... we can at least have the hope of performing a miracle! I'm happy for Omar Marmoush's first career hat-trick, where among other things he also scored his first goals with the Manchester City shirt! He's a great guy and together with Erling Haaland in attack they can be dangerous, decisive and unpredictable both in the present and in the future! happy for James McAtee's goal! he deserves it... aside from the goal, I think he is a talented player and he is also very versatile!
