Holy God!!!! LYLE!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me????? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY KILLING ME!!!!! Is this from a CD? Would love to hear more of this. I guess I've been in 'Lyle Withdrawal' lately because of the Metheny Group hiatus, so this hit me between the eyes a little harder than expected.

The counterpoint between voices just keeps blossoming, blooming, renewing itself. Just magnificent writing and playing. If I remember correctly this is computer programming Lyle has done to replicate a type of contemporary vocal group. Just marvelous, inspiring and uplifting melodic and rhythmic invention.

Didn't know of this — outstanding. So, SO sad Lyle is not here to continue making music. Or teach. Or do whatever he wishes. The world is an emptier place without him. 😥
