100% agree screw the scalpers, they ruined a few games I played and haven't been able to get back into paper card games because of it and the rural area I live in.

The bottom feeding idiots who don't understand the game are mad bc they're dumb. The actual scalpers & resellers who been in this game a while are doing just fine. Prismatic, 151, Crown Zenith, Pal Fates, P Evolved, Ob Flames ETB's, Surging Sparks, etc are still very easy to get at restocks. They're also super easy to move if you have LCS buyers paying 80-85% market. .
So no, scalpers & resellers who are smart, & know what to buy are not mad like you claim.
I'm actually happy to see the idiots who know nothing about Pokemon get burned for buying too much product, thinking everything they buy will move like Prismatic.
These ppl will likely not last long in the hobby.

Journey together is unwanted because it's an unlimited set. The pull rate is easy and you need to get about 1/100th the number to complete the set

Wtf are you talking about? Scalping is alive and well. You still can't find shit in stock anywhere. We had people sitting outside of Gamestop since 8pm the night before to get 1 PE ETB.

I didn’t know there would be a reprint. Anyone know when these are expected to drop? I made the grave mistake of thinking 151 would always be readily available so I haven’t been able to complete my set in 2 years…

I still remember when a peice of crap scalper tried asking me when i bought some cards at a store. Right after i paid for them even before i left the counter the asshole asked me if i opened them here or at home and i told that fucker im waiting till i get home like really you piece of crap cant even let me open these and enjoy them in peace. Luckly i have some stores etc i know that i can count on and i collect not scalpe so i just want 1 copy of anything i want not buying with the intention to re sell

I'm glad! I just got into pokemon cards last week, to play, and in UK the stock is still barely anything. You can buy about 3 sets of boosters but ETB's are all gone. Luckily I managed to pick up an ETB to start my first ever collection the day of re-stock without knowing how scarce these are in the UK. I've not seen a single Journey together item of anything in any shop yet.

Seeing the prices on some of your stuff, looks like you are a scalper too.

I like to buy boosters for my kids when they do well on exams, performances, or projects. I cant find any new packs because of all the awful, greedy, childless freaking MAN BABIES everywhere.

Some of the prices on those shelves are a big part of the problem. Local shops are still able to sell at msrp to actual fans of the hobby by opening the package/removing the plastic seal at sale to deter flipping product, but most wont because $$$. All of my LCS jack up their prices and blame the scalpers. The only reason scalpers are "angry" right now is because pokemon center nuked their bots for the last 2 restocks.

Scalping won’t go away. I’ve seen this cycle soooo many times now. Profit margins go down for scalpers, yes, but then we are left with a small group of them that literally acquire everything and sell for smaller profit but in higher quantities. So an etb might not be $110-$150 anymore but you best bet it’ll still be $75-$90…the Pokémon machines are a great example. They switched the machines to distribute at random times with intent on more people getting product. That was good at first…but scalpers are very intelligent…all it did was weed out the people less motivated and consolidated the scalping group into like five people locally. I’m not kidding when I say the same group of guys hit machines all day everyday and they control the resale market in my area. What’s worse is local card shops charge just as much for the product. So do I buy from the scalper with no sales tax? Or buy from the shop at the same price PLUS 9% tax…this won’t ever completely go away.
