Nick is an excellent drummer! Had no idea. Beautiful timing!
ОтветитьBought the V1 and then the V2. I use it a lot on my drums. Can use it on anything. It adds that little analog sparkle.
ОтветитьNice Nauga! I love my Colourbox.
ОтветитьInteresting. I got this same sound plugging into my Korg D1600 recorder a long time ago and I hated it, it sounded cheap. Whenever I've heard it since then I've know exactly what it is and I've thought it sounded armature.
ОтветитьI remember mop-headed Josh showing off this pedal at NAMM. I bought one later that year and have used it many times since.
ОтветитьNah I actually prefer taking my 1073 everywhere I go, thanks though.
ОтветитьI can’t wait to use this on vocals and live, the phantom power feature is genius.
ОтветитьY'all could approximate the sludge of the 'elite' transformer with other things like a cheap muddier 1 + some 'clean' blended in =) iFind 4 instance a super-short delay can sound very 'tube-like' with EQ & stuff = overhang/hysteresis simulation of the 'magnetic aura simulation' of the 'saturational resistivation coefficients' 4 XXXtra 'glass' =D
ОтветитьStereo in version? 👀
ОтветитьI wanted one since it came out, but wasn't sure if i would use it to its potential... then i realized what it actually was... but then I was broke and hoping to find one used. Then you released the V2 and i couldn't justify not getting the V2. I was back on the hunt hoping to find someone who didn't appreciate theirs, and get a deal, but now I NEED this color-way because i feel like it fits my home studio aesthetic too perfectly. I'm excited to finally get one.
ОтветитьYou had me at papery mids
ОтветитьWow! Is there anything Nick can't do??? He even sings well! 😀 I really need a CB for my bass! Well done folks! Hi from Vermont!-Brent
ОтветитьI was setting up for my mates band that was Supporting UMO in Tassie, the drummer had a colourbox on his vocals! now im doing the same!
ОтветитьGreat stuff
ОтветитьNo, I have never seen one but I was on the verge of buying a famous company’s graphic eq pedal to solve little issues and do some tone-sculpting. Could this ColourBox do all that and more? (Although at more than triple the price?) (And what’s up with the Canadian spelling of “Colour”?)
ОтветитьHoly crap Nick killed it on the folky/Americana song he sang at the end. I’m not even a big fan of the genre but I’d listen to him.
ОтветитьWatching because I have a REAL 1073. Suck it plebbs
ОтветитьSick !! 😊
Ответить‘Money please!” 😂❤
ОтветитьNick's been holding out on us; STELLAR, good sir☮💜🎶
ОтветитьOh man, now I need this. If muse has I must have it too
ОтветитьNo groundlift?
ОтветитьBrilliant pedal. This and the Strymon Deco are my favs.
ОтветитьIs there any additional processing on the bass? My P bass sounds nothing like the video with those same settings during the p bass section
ОтветитьIs the treble control a shelving filter? The graphic in the video indicated it was but the description on your site doesn't indicate it's anything other than a peak.
ОтветитьBest $400 I have spent in a long time. I initially was going to put this on my guitar pedalboard but instead I made another board featuring the colour box as the heart and soul. I paired it with an Origin fx Cali76 compressor, eventide micro pitch , TC elect. chorus/flanger/ pitch modulation, MXR phase 90, Meris mercury 7 reverb and a Malekko Dark delay. The power of this compact rig is unbelievable. The colour Box is a desert island piece of equipment. It inspires you to play and I think that is what most of us are looking for in gear! Thank you Josh and JHS! RIP Cliff Smith!
ОтветитьYou've gotten slimmer over time... nice
ОтветитьWell, I knew I needed a few of these when they came out, maybe even a Crayon or two. The Anniversary colorway is a must-have, but this is pretty much stressing the budget...
Oh well. 🤷♂
I wasnt interested until you talked about shift functions to change the Q factor in the EQ and then i got super curious!!! I cant afford it but i would love one ❤
ОтветитьIs there any chance of these coming with optical output someday? That'd be the ultimate multipurpose tool for a small studio in my opinion.
Ответить🤘👍🏿 🖍️📦
ОтветитьNick is a skilled person
ОтветитьJosh, got one at the big sale Friday at midnight. Watching your show I was wondering if the info with the pedal gives you basic starting points for each instrument you are demonstrating? Thanks for your video!😀
ОтветитьWell Josh, I want to hear what this sounds like with harmonica. Got to be killer.
ОтветитьWhen can we expect 2 channel rack mount stereo color boxes? Cause I want one!
ОтветитьI’m not sure why, but the term “colorway” makes me skin crawl.
ОтветитьI've wanted a Colour Box for ages. The combination of this video and the new colourway (as well as the incredible sale right now), just pushed me over the edge. Ordered!
ОтветитьI've switched windows and was like, "Oh cool, they got someone with a great voice to sing through the Colour Box!" And when I switched back, I was like "WTF, that's Nick!? Why doesn't he sing more for this channel!?"
ОтветитьDoes it make sense to use Colour Box v2 after the JHS Punchline?
ОтветитьCool song, Nick. ☮️
ОтветитьIf I’m honest, direct to board guitar tones are some of the most iconic to me. Short list, Beatles Revolution, Led Zeppelin’s Black Dog and Brent Masons lead work on Brooks and Dunn’s Neon Moon. I’m sure there are many, many more. Thanks Josh smh
ОтветитьReverb has stores underselling their own used cbv2 pedals with discounted new ones.
ОтветитьGood honk brother
ОтветитьThe Fender Rhodes thing was so cool. In Carson voice, I did not know that
ОтветитьYeah but, Where's the eurorack module?
ОтветитьWhat a great video! Great explanations and playing all round. Definitely on my to-buy list! Thanks
ОтветитьCB V1 fan and user for many years. What are the power supply cables that are just red and black and super thin in this video and many of your other vids? TYIA!
ОтветитьWill this make my $249 condenser mic sound better?
ОтветитьShoutout to the sharp-eyed smarty pants who caught a mistake in the episode. Turns out, we totally goofed when explaining the 'shift' controls on the Colour Box—they don’t control the 'Q.' Like the 1073, the Colour Box doesn’t have a 'Q' control. We got our EQ terms mixed up! Being a huge nerd is hard sometimes.Turning the shift controls counterclockwise moves the boosted or cut frequency toward the lower end of that band, and turning them clockwise moves it toward the higher end. At least the diagram in the video got it right! (Shoutout to Austin for the accurate visuals.) Thanks for keeping us on our toes and helping us set the record straight.
