San Mateo County Firefighters: Help Us Beat This

CAL FIRE CZU San Mateo-Santa Cruz firefighters are taking extra precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are picking up extra shifts for their fellow coworkers who must stay home with their families, as many spouces have been either laid off, been asked to telecommute, or told to stay home from work. These firefighters spend their free time washing, cleaning, and disinfecting the station, and making sure they aren't spreading the virus. They are also taking extra precautions when responding to calls by wearing extra protective gear, and maintaining social distance whenever possible. This is a stressful time for everyone, but our unit is eager to serve in whatever capacity is needed.
