um the whole it was too expensive it kinda bull i really think they could have found a way to go around the setting in venice it could have been a solvavle problem angel was filmed in california also around this time the wb was already in financial trouble so i think it had to do with that more than anything else

This is literally why I love Jess (Milo for that matter).
Sure he may have issues and he may not be the perfect boyfriend by the “Dean Standard” but he cuts straight to the point. There is clarity to his character and Milo did a great job of driving that home.
Everyone else is mentioning his statement of “ NOTHING!!” and I’m not of the minority in that opinion either. The desperation, the plea... it did start to sound like whining there for a moment but this kid has a true sense of fear of what he might become if he doesn’t find some sort of grounding and foothold in life.

The moments in the show when I am driven to a true emotional spot is when there is literal angst and heartache. Whether that was with Jess, Luke, Richard... or even Emily vs. Lorelai. But I have to say that those moments I appreciate the most are when Jess or Richard (RIP Edward) are involved - with Luke running in at a close second.

That’s just me, though. Everyone has a preference and perspective on this show and I’m sure there are those that would disagree with me.

Milo is a fantastic actor as Jess, he’s such a great person with a lot of dimension, and I love him he’s my fav one of Rory’s boyfriends, and this scene is so phenomenal it shows how much Jess is hurting underneath his facade

My only problem with this scene is that it isn't that he didn't have a place to go. He did, but he wasn't willing to meet Luke's (more than reasonable) terms.

I loved this part of Gilmore girls wish they would have showed more of Jess’s time in Los Angeles

Both Milo Ventimiglia and Rob Estes are great actors. I miss seeing more of Rob on the small screen.

The funny thing is he turned out with a better career than Rory.

Jess really had nothing. Everyone in that town hated him, neither of his parents wanted him, he lost his place at Luke’s, and he lost the love of his life.

I expected that jess would have been angry at his father for leaving him. But he wasn't. Instead he begged to crash.

Luke had every right to make sure Jess doesn’t see use useless father. Your son yells he has nothing and you can’t do shit about it ???
