They seek him here, they seek him there, his patients seek him everywhere
ОтветитьElaine Stritch plays Mary, the widow. I haven't thought of this actress for at least 30 years.
ОтветитьThe wonderful Elaine Stritch!
ОтветитьLove these. Classic good storytelling
ОтветитьMarius Goring is such a remarkable actor!! I always liked him. He's unforgettable... Even in small roles like in The Spy in Black
ОтветитьDon't need to whisper, he can't hear u, but he can see u.....hahhahah...lololol
ОтветитьDid Roald Dahl literally just give the definition of Dark Humor in the beginning?
ОтветитьShe was absolutely brilliant!
ОтветитьI didn't get it, bit of a shitty story tbh. I think it would have been better if she'd got his 'brain' home and started talking to him how she'd pulled off the perfect murder of him and got all his money or something, then for the pigs to come in and we find out the brain was a hoax and it was just a surveillance device all along.
ОтветитьThis was such a original episode. The wife gets revenge and satisfaction. Thanks for the uploud!👍
ОтветитьI recall my Dad, reading this story from Roald Dahl`s 'Kiss Kiss" to me while camping by the Appalacian Trail, in 1963 ? It was a collection of shortstories, bizarre & original.
ОтветитьHa ha she got what she wanted
ОтветитьWell done 🤣
ОтветитьI read the written story long before watching the televised version. I didnt think it can ever be translated from print to screen.
I was right.
What a delicious story.
ОтветитьI think Roald Dahl was a very spooky individual.
ОтветитьFunny, but too gross, even as a sick joke.
ОтветитьGood job William....Good one Mary. Nice plot change...Kia Ora
ОтветитьI remember watching these programs it was always on a Sunday night but I don`t remember seeing this episode but it was brilliant I used to watch her in the series where Donald Siden was her butler she had such a dry sense of humour..
Ответитьreally hafta stop watchin this shite
ОтветитьGreat one, Elaine Stritch was an amazing actress.
ОтветитьThis was a very strange episode, can anyone explain it to me. I couldn't understand what the doctor was saying.
ОтветитьMan, that woman is tall!
ОтветитьDear Charles if I am not mistaken the stress of going to work on Mondays brings about the most Heart attacks than any other day of the week... Thanks for the upload! From Utah’s Beautiful Mountains. Miracles of the—-Last Days or Last Daze🌎😃
ОтветитьI loved it. she should killed it.
ОтветитьLove this actress
ОтветитьStill with the power to shock and reveal.
ОтветитьThe first story of his I ever read. She blew smoke all over his eyeball. Exquisite.
ОтветитьHilariously creepy
ОтветитьThe electroencephalograph sounded like Jean-Michel Jarre's music - very much in the tune of the time. I was expected to see the widow (or "widow") making love with the postman in front of the brain... This motif was much used at the time, in movies like Legacy (1978) and Strange Behaviour (1981(.
ОтветитьM7&
ОтветитьOh my stars it's decades since I saw this and I remembered it!!
ОтветитьHer acting is superb!
ОтветитьWay back in March 1961, Dahl had this story adapted as the first episode of a similar anthology series he hosted on CBS, "WAY OUT".
ОтветитьI haven't read the short story yet, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the line "I didn't marry him for his looks" is plucked straight from said story, as it was used in the "Way Out" adaptation.
ОтветитьMe to my wife: Youd love to do that to me wouldnt you?
My wife: Oh yeah.
if you've never seen that "dog head" video, don't watch it. I find it quite creepy. It was almost like "The Thing". and I felt really bad for that poor dog. :(
Ответитьthis episode though, was pretty funny :) especially the end.
ОтветитьI really must watch Source Code again.
ОтветитьThe Red Shoes
ОтветитьI wonder if this is where Jordan Peele got his idea for the brain transplant in Get Out…
ОтветитьMetaverse ♾
ОтветитьBbnnn
ОтветитьIf you are over 55-60 we all love Elaine Stritch in UK from her superb acting. She was one of the few Americans who endeared themselves into the British hearts in the post war years until the 80's.
ОтветитьCybeepunk born in that episode
Ответитьgreat story
ОтветитьAmazing storyline, I just wish more people would watch it
ОтветитьHeres Mud In Your Eye
ОтветитьNiatjok bro
ОтветитьIt strikes me as quite insensitive of that doctor to subject that poor widow to the grotesque prospect that her husband's head is detached and alive.
