Glad to see a reviewer not afraid to say a budget gun is better than a glock. Glocks revolutionized guns 50 years ago with the polymer guns but they are still making the same gun today. I dry fired a GX4xl at the gun store and the trigger blew me away. I was hoping they'd come out with a bigger version closer to the G3 in size and they did. I've had the G3 for 4 years or so and it eats everything. Since Taurus moved its headquarters to America and started assembling them here the quality has gone up. I'm gonna get the GX4 carry for sure.

Just bought a GX4 Carry today. Knew nothing about it before I walked into the store but the S&W Shield Plus was out of stock. That's what I went in for. But the Store clerk said if I was looking for a budget friendly 9mm with a higher capacity to check this out and when I felt the trigger and the overall ergonomics of the frame I had to have it. Store clerk said he carries a GX4 XL and loves it. Can't wait to put some rounds down range and see how it shoots. Heard nothing but good about em so far.

Good video and I have probably put about 200 and some rounds in mine no issues. It is an excellent weapon. I don’t know why Taurus has gotten the reputation other than my PT111 I had that I got rid of, but I’ve got two G3’s ones has a MCK on it, one 3C one GX4 and now a GX4 Carry TORO. I bought two of them a year ago when they first come out and I've never had a problem at it either one of them I love them

I have had the GX4 for 2 years. I love it! I was so excited when the carry came out because they addressed the small issues I have with the original and I really want to love it just as much. My problem is that the magazine keeps ejecting after a few rounds.
Doesn’t matter what ammo, mag, or anything else.
I called Cust service and Taurus is fixing the issue. I really hope they do because I want to love this weapon.

I have a Taurus PT 24/7 Pro in 40 Smith & Wesson and I absolutely love it, and I even prefer it more than a Glock or a sig. It is pretty reliable but it has the best trigger I have ever felt. It does look like it has quite a bit of take-up but there is virtually no weight in the take-up but the trigger pull is so light after you hit the wall, I would be willing to bet it's somewhere around a 2 lb Pull and there is hardly any over travel and it resets almost immediately after you start letting up. So basically when you get to the wall, there's hardly any pre-travel left or post travel from the break to the reset and it's the cleanest break and crispiest reset ever. I think I made my point LOL

I do want to get the slide cut for Optics and possibly have the end of the barrel ported on top like the Hellcat Pro Comp and of course the slide would have a window cut at the end of it for the porting of the barrel. If I can get that done, I bet it's going to be one of my favorite guns ever.

I have carried Glocks, Sigs, Rugers , Caniks and a few Taurus’s since the early 90’s . The Gx4 Carry is by far my favorite carry gun. Better trigger than a Glock, more ergo than a Glock , better capacity than any Micro Glock. Before this my favorite carry was a Canik MC9 but even though the Caniks trigger is Lighter the slide on the Taurus is far easier to manipulate.

Hey ya’ll! Question to those that own the GX4 carry. First I have to say, it’s a great firearm! I’ve put about 1,200 rounds through mine and the rear iron site keeps falling out of place. Anyone else have that issue with a solution? Thanks!

Because of it's past from 1997-2024 recall and other issues. Taurus won't be ultimate at anything. I like the Taurus GX4 Carry, the only other two pistols I like by Taurus are the Taurus 92 FS and Taurus TS9. Taurus should have done this years ago. Been a Taurus owner since 1985 and seen a lot of poor quality firearms and bad Taurus customer service. Hopefully Taurus will finally be on the right track?

Just picked up mine today for $339.99 & ill be getting a $50 rebate from Taurus. Out the door for just under $320.

I bought a GX4. It's great but I have huge hands so when I seen the CARRY, I thought that just might be the perfect one for me. The GX4 Carry is fantastic. I'll agree, it beats the Hellcat. Trigger is nice but a bit heavy. It's not like the typical long travel Taurus trigger. You'll love it. BUT..... Being honest, another gun in this price point that I like even better, Yes, I do like one even better for 1 reason only. I think this GX4 Carrry has a nice trigger. You gotta try a Tisas PX9 Carry. Just about idential in size to the GX4 Carry, only difference being, it's a bit wider. Maybe the width of the GC2 and 3. So I do have both the GX4 Carry and the Tisas PX9 Carry. For sure, the Tisas trigger is a bit nicer. I'd put that Tisas against a Sig all day. Not sayin the GX4 Carry trigger is not good. It is good. Very good. It's just a bit heavy, and I'd say it's for sure over 4.5 lbs. If I was guessing, I'd say at least 5.5 trigger, the Tisas might be 4 - 4.5lb. BUT, if you prefer Taurus and the thinner gun, by all means, get this GX4 Carry. I'm not saying anything bad about it. Just saying Tisas trigger is lighter. The take up, the break, the reset, all that is wonderful and when shooting, you're not even going to notice the weight. Yes, IMO This GX4 Carry and Tisas PX9 Carry are both better than G43. Just do it. Buy a GX4 Carry. I just found one in a TORO under $300 online, and Taurus has a $50 rebate on TORO models and $25 on non TORO models right now. GO BUY ONE !!! Don't spend $600-$700 on Glock, Sig or Springfield. For a bit more you can have both, The Taurus GX4 Carry and the Tisas PX9 Carry. I promise, you'll be satisfied and love them both. I also agree, Cylee are great budget Red Dots. Shake Awake and all !!!
