With the franchises confirming their retained and pre-signed players, Graeme Smith and Stephen Cook review the squads ahead of the upcoming season and ahead of the player auction in Cape Town on October 1, 2024. For the Season 3 Auction, nearly 200 local and international T20 cricketers will go under the hammer at the Betway SA20 Season 3 player auction taking place in Cape Town on 1 October. Fourteen countries have been represented across the field, with 115 South African and 73 overseas players making up the main auction.
