The New Schiit GUNNR is Audiophile Gaming Bliss

I was thinking about buying my brother this for Christmas. But in Australia it’s $530. Which as of today is around 350 US. Prices for headphones seem far closer here to what they are there, but for some reason Schiit products are often not competitively priced in our market. It does seem pretty awesome, but if I had that much money, I would be buying bro some better headphones first.

Is there a toggle for the 3.5 mm out at the back for desktop monitors vs your headphone output? Or will it just send a signal to both of the ports at all times?

The Presence dial sounds like a good tool for EQing your headphones as it alows you to easily do a sweep over each frequency to find any problem spots.

I had Schiit HEL2e and it was my daily driver since 2022. One of my valuable purchased I have. I mostly use it on my PC both gaming and other stuff. Looking forward to upgrade to GUNNR but still keep my HEL2e.

One thing they need to fix is their usb 2.0 detection, because its really bad. I shouldn't need to rely on an external usb hub, or finagle with the pc power settings

I've had the original schiit stack for ages, the good ol magni/modi combo has treated me well. However, the idea of getting rid of the power adapter and having a single point of control is intriguing. You think it's worth the replacement to the gunnr though? If even only for simply the aesthetic of reducing cables and a single device, is there an improvement of sound quality in comparison to the old stack?

I ordered one of these already, my Jotunheim 2 is going to my music area instead of gaming pc. I don't listen to a lot of music on my gaming pc anymore. My Gunnr should be here sometime this week. The USPS has sent it on a tour of the states but it finally got to my state today.

My hel 2 and Astro mix amp when I use the mic there’s a humming noise in the background while I’m streaming I have to lower it down. The humming goes away a little bit, but my voice is low, but the hum is still there. Do you have any solutions?
