ОтветитьFun chat. God bless.
ОтветитьGreat stories as always , thanks 🙏 🐿️😎🐿️
ОтветитьI love love love your way of letting your guests tell the stories but I’ve watched two videos and still don’t know who this gentleman is. I gathered from comments his name is Fred and no doubt missed an early one that introduced him.
Ответитьanother old man from Washington, keep up the good work, Otis, and have a great Sunday.
ОтветитьAnother introduction to another musical hero unknown to me until now. Thanks, Otis! I’m going in for another deep dive, this time on Fred Koller.
ОтветитьI enjoyed Fred Koller and seeing all the books around him; having him being a books store owner put a smile on my face too. Thank you both. ☮
Ответитьfor the algorithm
ОтветитьBrother Otis this is the best title ever and you've had had some great titles
ОтветитьYou're doing great on interviews, Otis! Fred's bookstore looks interesting, too.
Ответитьsooo cool....you can't too many Prine stories
ОтветитьSaint John prine is so my hero and every story I hear enforces it...let's start with the bad idea ..I need more people like that in my life ..and I love that song...oh boy just remastered that and a very haunting rare prine tune Kokomo and I agree blue umbrella is a tear jerking gem

Ответитьtowns went to shattucks school in fairbault mn which is now a school for blue chip hockey players great towns book a deeper blue
ОтветитьI believe I may have been considering giving up on life until watching this brother Otis. Now I'm crying for a world I'll never know but at least I'm reminded of the community world life I've tried to create for fifty years so far. Thank you Otis. SJOCR
ОтветитьThere have been many lines as Otis knows over the years I've said this should be on my epitaph epigram whatever it's called not that I intend to be buried in that cold cold ground cuz id rather have em cut me up and pass me all all-round (ooops that was unplanned lol ) but absolutely definitely no maybe if we gotta choose one for Julesy it's weird and out of it.... Thanks brother Otis et fam and this cat Fred Kohler meow .. SJOCR Stephen Jules Otis Career Rubin
ОтветитьCompletely weird and out of it I just mean completely lol love it ...and j think I've heard Townes mention Thompson twins in some clips or live recordings?😊
ОтветитьSpeaking of Robert Earl Keen….an Otis Gibbs interview would be legendary.
Ответить👍😎
ОтветитьThank you Fred & Otis
ОтветитьThis was fun to listen to--took me away from my problems. Thanks Otis!
ОтветитьOld Harold Delany may have had a chance
ОтветитьMy Uncle Mike's polka band (Monaca PA) covered Let's Talk Dirty in Hawaiian. Said it was a crowd pleaser always...
ОтветитьAll you can eat vegetables Sounds good to me 😋
ОтветитьThanks Otis for sharing all these stories with us! I remember The Thompson Twins. When I was in high school, they used to come and stand by the fence at the "Wave Pool", the big public water park out by Opryland, and they would be decked out in those big Russian hats and fur coats and it would be 100 degrees out there! They would stand there for hours just watching all the people through the fence, we would see those guys all over town, ha! Nashville in the 80's was a real trip!
ОтветитьGreat stories… I miss John Prine… got to see his brother Billy… play John’s songs last year, around this time… John’s younger brother…
It was good to see him and a bit of closure for me… I saw John in 2018… on what would be his last tour… unfortunately. Fred is an interesting guy… I bet if he wanted to… he’d have a book of his own to write… ! Thanks 🙏 for sharing these stories.🕊️🍁🕊️
Great interview Otis, the archives must be stored for the centuries to come. 😊
ОтветитьI swear that if there were only audio I would believe that it was Norm McDonald talking.
ОтветитьOtis, if you want to know more about Skinny Dennis, I suggest you speak to Rodney Crowell. Rodney shared a house with him. Gosh, I'd love to hear you interview Rodney Crowell. He has some great stories!
ОтветитьPanama Red was Billy Joe's co-writer on Bottom Dollar. Fred has a pretty special co-write of his own, Let's Talk Dirty in Hawaiian with John Prine. Fred eas good friends with Bill Morrissey and gave us a visit when Bill played here.
