Some corrections:
1 do not feed cresties hand-made fruit smoothies! Its easy to mess up proportions and what they really can eat, and it can lead to poor health outcomes!
Use dedicated products from pangea/gecko nutrition/repashy.
2 gecko skin is hydrophobic, all skins are waterproof, thats their main function
3 blowing up gecko looks fun, but it can be dangerous, dont do it please
4 not every gecko is calm and friendly. I would say that MOST of them are shy and skittish. They don't need and don't really like to be petted and handled, tolerate our signs of affection, at best.

And yes, they are absolute blast to keep and interact with ;) they are cutest little lizards in the world. Cresties are crepuscular (most active at dusk and dawn)/nightime creatures, so during the day they mostly sleep.
They have their personalities, favorite spots to sleep and hang out. In general they are calm, don't bite. I absolutely love them!

It's almost lying by ommission to say they don't have eyelids, and that they lick their "eyeballs" directly. They have transparent scales on top of their eyes, so in a way their "eyelid" equivalent is always shut, and their tongues don't literally touch their eyeballs, nor does your finger if you poke them.

My old roommate has one of these when I moved in with her, and from day one of purchase, she actively HATED my roommate. I moved in, and on day one, I and if the gecko was okay with being handled. She replied that the gecko got angry and aggressive with her and I was free to try, as an aggro gecko wasn't going to be able to do anything to me. So I started talking to her through the tank, popped off the lid, put my hand in, and she booked it up my arm and planted herself right in the hollow of my throat and send to really love when I talked. So from that day on, I was in charge of feeding and her and handled her every day to socialize and de-stress her. My throat and chest became her new favorite placea in the world and would paw at the glass whenever I can't into the living room. I think she just lived my deep, rumbling baritone. It always reminds me of the episode of The Simpsons back in the early seasons where a bunch of snakes get loose in Springfield and they put a speaker on the ground facedown and had Barry White sing to charm them lol
