Very informative! Thanks from an aspiring "Let's player".
ОтветитьThank you for the tips!
ОтветитьThanks for the great advice! About to start my first let’s play for animal crossing: new horizons which has a lot of dead space so I’m quite nervous!
ОтветитьThis video was very helpful !! I plan to get my channel going by the end of this month/early may. Planning to do a throwback lets play series !!
ОтветитьOne thing I realized on my edit and another informational vid said was give 150% MORE energy than you normally would because the cam and the audio take away 50%. Looking back at my vid, it's absolutely true! You don't need to scream and throw controllers, but you DO need to be animated! Get excited!!!
ОтветитьThank you for this: When I start kicking up my let's plays I will not linger on the menu screens for too long. Given I'm not much about witty banter or anything.
ОтветитьAnother common mistake is playing a game you don't actually enjoy because you think it's popular. Your audience is smart - they'll be able to tell if you're faking enthusiasm. Great video and even better voice :)
ОтветитьGreat advice! Everything in here is helpful and needs to be said. Especially for people who spend countless minutes looking up controls. Keep it up mate! 😄
ОтветитьI'm gonna start a Final Fantasy Remake Let's Play. It's my 1st Final Fantasy EVER.
ОтветитьHey you guys! I’d appreciate it if you checked out my channel! Would love the feedback!!
ОтветитьGreat sounds like I'm going to have to start over with mine. But I really do want to have a good Let's Play so, third time's the charm!
ОтветитьThat was fun. I'll keep that in mind.
ОтветитьUploading my first lets play video today, hopefully I can apply these tips moving forward! Best of luck to everyone working really REALLY hard out there, don't give up! :)
ОтветитьThanks for the tips dude, recently started a let’s play channel so will put these to good use 👍🏻
ОтветитьThanks for the advice. Just recently started doing let's plays on my channel
ОтветитьYou’re awesome bro. Thanks 🙏🏾
ОтветитьThanks for this! I'm a new content creator and I'm definitely guilty of many of these mistakes. I try to get a little better with each video I make.
ОтветитьThis was helpful thank you!
ОтветитьOne thing is I have no money for any kind of recorder mic you need to pay money for. So imma stick with voice memos
Ответитьthis is very helpful, i’m trying to start a let’s play series on genshin impact
ОтветитьWatching this video two years after it was initially posted and still getting tips. Also, nice to have the reassurance that what you are doing is correct. Keep grindin' everybody!
ОтветитьNumber 3: know the controls!
Game Grumps fans: 👀
Appreciate your effort to promote indie games, I wonder if I will be able to do let's play videos or not
ОтветитьThat was Nelo in there for about 3 seconds... Good for you man:)
ОтветитьI need to work on the audio and my repetitions. Thank you!
Ответитьfor me the worse is, when the lets player does not play often enough. or better said, needs 6 months (or worse) for a game which has 20 hours of play time.
they record the first 3 episodes in one go, and the 4th one starts with "haven't played it in four weeks".
these are impossible to follow for me, and i will just forget about their channel, and a year later or so i may randomly stumble across the playlist of their game and may watch it. look at their channel again, maybe find another interesting playlist, but not enough reason to subscribe.
I think I played to rushed in order to get the video shorter. Not going to do that.
Would it be ok, to cut a video in half? Because no one wants to watch 45+ minutes these days.
oh this is perfect, even for 2021! thank you!
ОтветитьI agree with keeping the intro short. For the most part, if I am watching your video there is a specific reason to please get to the point. If you are making a cooking video i do not need to know your life story, i do not care about your kids or family, or anything unrelated to what you are cooking,. If I am watching a video on making a Veloute sauce I would expect to see a list of ingredients, equipment needed, and see how each stage of the sauce should look. If you want to blabber about unrelated nonsense do it while you are mixing and have timestamps so i can cut to what I want to see. Consider that I like many people have a short attention span and i am not going to sit through 15 minutes of you talking about how your children like something. as I said before i dont care about your children. I just care about the content you are providing. I remember in college how my teacher told me that it is always best to be concise and to the point.
ОтветитьThank you so much for the advice. These will surely improve the quality of my let's plays.
ОтветитьThanks for the advice
ОтветитьVery good advice. Thanks!
ОтветитьI know so many female let’s players who do everything on this list but are extremely successful, and they get hundreds of thousands of subs in under a year, hmm I wonder why XD
ОтветитьThese are fantastic tips. Thank you very much!
ОтветитьPRO tip - if you don't have carpets like me - and basically modern but audio unfriendly room, for the gods sake, use dynamic microphone with cardioid pattern.
Ответитьthanks so much man
ОтветитьGood video, but it was a little ironic during the bad audio section, the background music became loud enough to become distracting from what you're saying. That's another huge pitfall for any kind of voice-over style video. It's not a horrid issue here, but I still had to focus intently on the vocal side of it.
ОтветитьThis was super to the point, helpful, pointed out things I've done before lmao, and I absolutely loved it. I will use these tips for now on.
ОтветитьWhen doing Let's Plays. I was thinking of showing my face/chat on twitch, record the stream, and chop the 4hr stream into a bunch of episodes (while following your advice). Will this strategy work in terms of creating quality Lets Plays? Some channels do it (XQC) and some Channels don't (Yours)
ОтветитьThere is a problem with trying to go over 15 to 20 minutes: there’s a chance some people might be using a low end gaming PC build and using the rendering on some of these video editors take a while. I’ve seen a 40 minute video take almost 5 hours to fully render
ОтветитьThese are great tips that I'm definitely going to use! If anyone has feedback for me, I would love to hear it!
