I strongly believe that justice will prevail for Justin. Blake and Ryan have already lost in their image in the public eye and it’s unlikely based on people’s experience of the couple don’t want to work with them anymore. The judge has been brought one way or another. I am hopeful that whilst this may feel like a loss for Justin in the short term, the long term impact on Kaleesi and the dragons is a massive loss.

This is chess. We thought Baldoni was winning last week. Yesterday Blake thinks she is winning. This is chess. Freedman does have the necessary information from Taylor Swift. Brittany Mahomes said that Blake had wanted to have sex with Justin but he did not want to. So the needed information is probably in line with that. Texts--you know how girls texts. They might add extra things in for laughs. Freedman could file sexual harrassment for Justin. The inappropriate sexual interest adds to the tortuous claims. She was not acting professional. Blake might settle to not get those texts out there. So we are not done. We are only done with Blake and Ryan.

I agree that the NYT shouldn’t have been sued for defamation for just doing their job— which is to report the news. They didn’t say Justin was or wasn’t guilty, they simply reported what Blake was suing him for. That’s fair play.

It’s however bogus that Justin isn’t allowed to sue Blake for defamation. He’s been dropped by his agency and other movies, before he’s even been convicted of a crime. How is that NOT defamation?

Just to be clear Perez. The judge did not say that no defamation occurred, his ruling emphasize that JB could not bring defamation claims under the law.
Those are two very different things. Just like he cannot bring extortion claims under the law. Nonetheless Megan’s reputation as a report is also tarnished - along with BL and RR

I think this case has opened the eyes of so many people to show even "respected" journalism like the NYT is in fact just as manipulative, biased and corrupt as other less traditionally respected media outlets. They may be victorious now but they have rendered an overall loss for journalism as a whole. I've become very sceptical and look more to various types of reporting to find the truth and I think that's the fascination of this case.

I'm disgusted by our society. I hope the Judge gets disbarred for his OBVIOUS corruption.

This just goes to show that almost all judges are subject to deep pockets. It's no coincidence that this case fell on him. The Hollywood deep pockets and all the businesses Ryan is involved him needed him to win so they ensured this by putting Liman on the case. Justice for Justin is to stay away as far from Hollywood as he possibly can. It’s an evil entity. He can make movies that inspire real people. Hollywood is on the path to destroy itself. There is corruption in the legal system… there are privatized prisons all over America with the disadvantaged sentenced by judges who are bought! Why would this judge be any different?

As a journalist who hasn't even graduated yet, im held to a much higher research standard than the NYT seems to be anymore. It's important to have multiple credible sources (minimum two) even if they are in opposition, which would only be more cause for research and additional credible sources (especially in what's clearly opinion writing). Also, it's not hard to tell when evidence is edited, or texts are incomplete. As anyone can delete selective texts from their phone, that can't ethically be the basis of a whole piece without confirmation (not from one single source) that they are truthful and accurate. In some cases a little bias (towards serious things) can be okay, but reporting should always still be fair and accurate.
