You might want to edit this to add the 'temporarily' earlier in the script. This sounds very apocalyptic and misleading. Also - you might want to add details like 'high dealer inventory', which is much more relevant than the 10-year strategic stuff here. The pickup isn't dead. They're getting push-back because prices are very high and they've gotten ahead of what most customers are willing or able to pay. Honestly this is so vaguely written with so many buzzwords that it's not very informative.

Dealer lots are overcrowded with trucks and dealer markups have stopped sales of not only Ford but all of them.

This video is just so much chin chatter. 60K to 100k+ costs of pickups plus interest rates emotionally "through the roof" have caused pickup sales to grind down to low digits. Consumer vehicles - cars and SUVs don't do the job for anyone who actually needs a pickup - you don't throw gravel or lumber into them. But when real interest rates are in the 8% range (lower rates are bought down) for new and used vehicles going as high as 13%, sales have plummeted. Drive by any ford dealer and look at how many pickups are sitting outside getting a suntan.

The economy has been in turmoil and car manufacturers as well as dealerships are still expecting people to pay obscene prices for vehicles.
There is no pick-up or SUV in this world that will ever be worth 80k in my eyes.
A vast majority of cars aren't worth over 20k to me.
Top that off with the rapey interest rates on leases/loans, the cost of ownership, insurance, and yeah, buying a new vehicle isn't an investment anymore so much as it is a massive loss.
The lots can stay full of the overhyped, overpriced trash. I'll be keeping more of my money for myself and just keep the car Ive got now running for as long as I can.
