I'm guessing the weird slime crystals from the mill eventually melted down and made their way into the catacombs mixing with the skeletons. I feel like there's a lot of cool design they can do with slimes with weird amalgam skeletal cores.

Do we know if console will have to wait longer for this update ?

I am hype for new character, new play mode, and new area.

Abomination is a stranger character to take from DD1 so early, I'm not suprised he was added but he was never neccesarily popular or beloved, personally I was hoping for Houndmaster or a new character

I had no idea this was coming… and I could not be more excited. Can’t wait to go through his Shrine journey a la DD2. Gonna puke all over those foes and stress my teammates out

Looking forward more to the Kingdoms mode to see how that plays. Abom not my favorite addition from the original roster, but still it will be interesting to see how he plays in DD2 and figure out some new comps.

Abom has the potential for some wild paths I just hope he doesn't end up like Duelist where he was 4 really complex paths and its less of a headache and easier to just use 1.

Will the DLC be included in the Oblivion Edition?

Its nice to have him back, but game seriously needs some ranged heroes as well. Either Houndmaster or Arbalest, because we have too many close up fighters right now.

The sad things is that the dlc is "soon", but the update for consoles is already almost 2 months late...

Some barks by the Abomination in DD1 (some are unused) that point to his alchemist background:

"Blood will transmute me! Transmute us all!"

"Those eyes will make excellent reagents."

"The greatest alchemy is borne in sweet agony."

"Alchemy created this divide inside me, and naught else will work."

"Unity is the catalyst for victory!" (This one might be a stretch imo, I can see anyone else saying it this way)

"I only ever had time for my crucible and scrolls."

"Oh I've loved before, but all were forgotten in the laboratory."

"Care to see my drawings for a mechanical hand?"

"They'll never do the hiring mechanic again" Honestly I think it'd be really cool if you could hire the Antiquarian for huge sum of money so she'll travel with you for a region or at least strike a deal with her. Maybe a trade system on what you find.

Personally I hope there is a lot more incentive to use his beast form.
I hope that the stress he gives off at the start of his transformation should slowly go away.

When Abomination transforms it should give the team a 2+ stress, but it will be called ''temporary stress''
which means that the stress will fade away after 2 turns, but you also couldn't use the ability if your heros had 8+ stress.
So you wouldn't be able to constantly transform without a second thought.

This could also be cool way to make a hero reach a stress threshold.
And be able to stress heal them while the temporary stress fades away.

I remember one of the reasons you thought Abom wasn't gonna be added was that Chris didn't want to do 2 separate 3D sprites for the same character since it's a lot of work. If this DLC does well in sales, I don't think it would be far fetched to maybe get Houndmaster in the future too 🤷‍♂️

Glad to know Abomination is on the way. It's also news to me that they won't repeat the Bounty Hunter hiring thing again (which is great, since that was interesting but didn't land quite as well as I had hoped). When did they confirm it?

I wonder if they will add the rest of the cast to the ending slide.

I know you just got done doing a massive tier list but I would love if you did a tier list based on "position" 1-4. Broken down by the character paths. You could even break it down to four long videos. Oh and maybe another video for dancers : )

Alchemist. Sounds like he will have all 3 dots. Fire and blight, and then blood in beast form. Also spiraling sanity makes me think he will take one horror every turn until you turn him back into normal or he breaks.
