Why does no one ever address the fact that all the gun laws are written to only apply to aliens and citizens of the fed gov and not to the true citizens of the states? No state constitution authorizes a state the power to impose any gun laws on their citizens and the fed gov does not authorize congress the power to impose its general statutes on the true citizens of the states.

Also, in recent cases, SCOTUS has stated that the 2nd amendment is incorporated into the 14th amendment applicable to both congress and the states. How come no one challenges the states and congress on the fact that both the state and fed courts are totally ignoring this?

Whenever I hear the words "national reciprocity" I have to wonder why the Full Faith and Credit clause does not apply. Being an attorney, Mr. Kirk, maybe you can explain it.

Article IV, section 1 of the US Constitution reads: "Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof." This was added to the Constitution specifically to avoid the type of uncertainty and confusion that is created by the patchwork of gun control laws we have across the country.

I'm sure there is a SCOTUS case at some point that carved out an exception for CCW from the FF&C clause, but why hasn't that been the basis of a challenge yet, especially with the 2A, and Constitution in general, friendly court we have today.

The Republicans need to put their money where their mouth is and actually move with President Trumps agenda. They love to do these show votes when they know their bills will lose, but buckle at the knees when they have the oppertunity to actually do something good. It happened with Obummercare, they won the majority on a mandate to repeal it, and then failed and we ended up with Pelosi as speaker again. GOA gave Rick Scott a 92% rating as a Senator (he had a D as governor of Florida), Thune 70% and Cornyn 55%. Scott was very supportive of Red Flag laws in the past, but notably only on the state level. He wasn’t completely uncompromising in the Senate as evidenced by his score, but he has been the best of the three.

My Second Amendment right was taken from me in 2013 in Va. I was charged with a traffic violation, but I’ve since regained my rights from Va. However, my state, Md., still won’t allow me to get a concealed carry permit unless I receive a governor’s pardon. I feel it's unconstitutional that they deny me if I received my rights back with a court order signed by a judge. Any suggestions?
