Set in a typical Tim Winton world of beach and sea, The Deep is about a little girl named Alice who must overcome her fear of swimming in the ocean.

Every day Alice and her family go down to the jetty for a swim and every day Alice watches from the rail. Despite all the encouragement in the world from her belly-flopping mum and dad and bombie obsessed brother, Alice is too scared to swim where the ocean turns from green to blue.

Until one day, after an out-of-the-blue swim with a friendly dolphin, Alice forgets to be scared and just swims!

Brought to you by Australia's champions of puppetry, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, and based on the classic children's book by Australian author Tim Winton, The Deep mixes beach culture comedy and exquisite puppetry in a highly entertaining live theatre experience.
