Galaxy S23 / Ultra Impressions: Cruise Control!

As someone who currently has an S10, in about 2 weeks I'll be the owner of one of these three and I'm pretty damn excited

S23 series looks more professional and clean compare to any new iphones

When you say that samsung phones are always this fast out of the box, does it mean they often slow down after a while?

I still don't get why a phone needs 5 cameras but not a 3.5mm audio connector

I legit find it hilarious that the Samsung Galaxy S all the way back from 2010 has a Super AMOLED display but now the newest phones don't unless you get the most premium option

I never really considered Samsung seriously, but to be honest, I was tired of underperformance of Pixel phones, and no longer wanted to buy OnePlus/Nothing/Xiaomi or any other chinese phone and of course, after owning one iphone in my lifetime, never ever again - so that was no option.
I gifted my Asus ZF9 phone and started considering one brand of Android phones I have never owned - Samsung. Pick was S23 plus due to it's size which I am still not too happy about, because the unit is too wide, but I definitely did not want s23 (too small, smaller battery, slower charging), and Ultra was just way too big of a phone I was willing to cary around :) - s23 plus so far is a SPOT ON PICK... but it comes with one caviat: I did not pay $999 for it... I traded my old OnePlus 6T to Samsung for $200, had $200 coupon discount (via Shop Samsung android app) and on top of all that had 5% discount code I found online that stacked well with all discounts. Total: around $575... For that kind of price, s23+ IS THE BEST... for $1000, not really worth it in my opinion.

If someone is thinking what to get, I would recommend for a smaller phone Asus Zenfone 10, or for a larger phone Samsung S23+ (considering you have a trade in and you leverage those discouns samsung currently offers).

You're right about the camera. I had a hard time capturing my toddler on camera. It kept coming out blurry

I would say this is an upgrade over the S22, especially for the battery and overheating issues.
Yeah, maybe the camera is the same, but is that our sole reason why we use a phone? Calls, text, and internet are the main functions of a cell phone today, and basing on solely cameras and design alone won't justify comparisons.

Facing issues after the android 14 update on the s23, screen auto switches to Eye comfort mode in the night even though the eye comfort mode is off and color filter is also off, anyone else facing this issue?

Hey Marques, Req you to add specs in specifics, like s23 128gb has UFS 3.1 storage and 256 has UFS 4.0 storage.

I went 3 years from my s20 fe before getting my s23. Honestly. I didnt even need the s23. But I feel like my s20fe was still glitchy. I think this s23 could eaily last 4-5 years. Amazing phone.

The edges couldve been flat to give a more premium look in s23 and the s23 plus

What a SHIT phone, I just got one after falling for these reviews!
The phone is pure SHIT.
Totally unimpressed, the camera is absolutely awful, sooo bad photos and videos, the face unlock doesn't work 8 out of 10 times and when it works it takes approximately 2 3 seconds to unlock and the phone lacks personality, on 1st startup I was not impressed at all, just a blank sad background simple and feels cheap.
And the worse thing, IT OVERHEATS, just when I started it and was setting the apps it went so hot that I couldn't hold it in hands.
I've had several phones and always blown away and impressed how they improved and this is the 1st time when I hate buying it.

What watt should I use for s23 Ultra ..I brought 45 and a 20 watt adapter.

I wanted to buy a base S23 w/ 512gb, but it turned out that 512gb wasn't even available in any of the operators in my country, so the only option was S23+. Maybe they don't ship them to certain countries?

Now the S24 is out, its time to pick up the S23

I upgraded my S23 Ultra to S24, I still have both the phones. Keeping them side to side, all the settings same, my S23 Ultra's display looks more colorful and bright! I feel s23 is a better display.

Should i be concerned or ask for replacement ?

That lavender looks so much better than the Violet on the S24 ultra. I would have loved to seen that color on the 24 ultra. Ended up getting it in Blue because it was an exclusive color for Samsung website.

I bought s23 a few days ago and its been draining battery and heating up like crazy, people been telling me that this is normal for most phones and it fixes by itself in 1-3 weeks as the phone is "adapting" to my usage pattern and learning it, i just want some more confirmation aboit this as frankly, i am scared because of the very high temperatures/batterg drainage (no other issues whatsoever tho)

hello please help me in choosing the right option between s23 ultra and s24 plus. I like s23 ultra in every way but it does not support 7 years of update and since I am a long term user I will atleast use the phone for 7 years so if you guys say that s23 ultra has more features than s24 plus will also get more features from extra 3 years of updates which s23 ultra won’t get so s24 plus might get more features than s23 ultra in the future. And another thing is that s24 has exynos chip which everyone is saying that this year it better i don’t really know if it is good or not for next 7 years. And one last thing if i buy s23 ultra than will i be able to get its accessories in future like screenguard and etc and since it has a curved display will i get the proper screenguard stuff and all in the future?? Please help me to take a decision guys❤
