ОтветитьAnother banger video! Quality! Keep at it
Ответитьgreat scratching g! and i loved to see represent in there, one of my favourite tracks ever!
ОтветитьAnother brilliant video that shows once again how much sampling is not only finding a loop and putting a beat to it (even if finding a good and rare loop is already a task in itself).
I always thought about Preemo as a paradox : basically he samples Jazz and Funk, but sometimes he give those samples a kind of "Electro" treatment (which make me think he could have been an excellent House Music producer as well). I think especially about "Mass Appeal", which is a very short sample from an Jazz-Funk track with decreased speed and pitch that finally sound like an almost electronic track : hope we'll see it soon in one of your next videos ! 😉
Great videos. The sample breakdowns are a great series you got going. Looking forward to see more in the future 🔥

ОтветитьJust curious why you don’t use your picture for your thumbnail
ОтветитьMy absolute favorite producer
ОтветитьThis inspired me to get my ass back on the MPC and chop up. It had been a long 2hrs since I last banged on it.
ОтветитьDJ Premier is a pretty big inspiration for me. My favorites are when he would chop jazz piano pieces, like in "Me Or The Papes" and "When I B On Tha Mic". A "chopped piano" (as I like to call it) has a distinct aesthetic that goes really well with hip-hop. I've started trying it out in my own beats.
If I can make some recommendations for your videos: I think you should work on making your voice sound more clean and crisp. A compressor will help you accomplish this. Also, some background music would be great (maybe some old J Dilla instrumentals?). But overall, there is value to analyzing these old musical styles- keep it up.
Fantastic
ОтветитьGreat breakdown, thanks!
ОтветитьSubscribed, nice one bro
