My face was sooooooo oily before Accutane so when I was on it my skin was almost normal lol I had super dry hands and lips though!

I am currently on Accutane right now too— the best lip hack especially for night time is to put your vanicream all over your lips when you’re doing your moisturizer, and then add the aquaphor/ Vaseline over to seal it in. You’re lips will still feel plump and moisturized when you wake up.
I try to do this in the morning also but throughout the day it definitely wears from talking/eating etc. Lifesaver for night time though!!

I was on accutane for like 8 months and have really dry skin. I also highly recommend using vaseline on ur dry areas. For me it was around my eyes and mouth

Accutane literally changed my life! I didn’t use anything while I was on it aside from aquafor and probably something gentle like the vanicream because your skin gets so incredibly dry! Do you know how long you will need to be on it for?

Accutane literally changed my whole life. The best thing I've ever done. You just have to hang in there! It will start to clear up in a couple months. Remember to wear sunscreen, though! I got such bad sunburns on my face while I was taking it. And if you can, do more no-makeup days because it might be uncomfortable on your skin for long periods of time. But good luck! I hope it works well for you 🤍

It’s true! Vaseline is only petroleum jelly, while aquaphor has additives and I switched to Vaseline to moisturize lips when I developed dermatitis by my mouth and it’s changed my skins immensely too!

I started with Vaseline when I started accutane and after about a month, I could not keep my lips from extreme dryness/cracking, no matter how often I applied. My dermatologist said she HIGHLY recommended aquaphor over Vaseline so I switched & everything changed for me!! most of my accutane friends had the same experience & we all use aquaphor religiously to this day
