Audio making Lee sound like C3P0
ОтветитьI know your fan base is the last bastion of John Mayer and blues land, but God damn, for everyone else that's tired or bored to death by hearing that; respectfully... Are you afraid of everything else... Perhaps teens or whatever you're representing as a new player in Guildford all listen to the kind of music you'd hear in a dentist's office. I'm as old as you are, but damn.
ОтветитьIt's not ahh looopa
ОтветитьGlad you guys are showing younger players what's up with there gear.....
ОтветитьDepending on the clean headroom of that SS amp the multieffect COULD theoretically make you play louder when you boost the line level.
ОтветитьFor the absolute beginner, the multi fx is a huge deal. Being able to get the essence of what a type of pedal does to your tone is a great investment.
ОтветитьMissed such videos where you peeps waltz through the store and have a challenge. Great to see it's return
ОтветитьWell done for not selling your amp and getting a Katana...
ОтветитьA bit late to the party here, but I just have a question for Lee; Is there an Impulse response going on the GP-100 then going in the amp's "cab" ?
ОтветитьThe single thing that can help a beginning guitarist, more than any new equipment, is time with someone who already knows how to play and is willing to pass on such knowledge for a modest fee. One of the few benefits of a fiat monetary system is that you can exchange little green pieces of paper for the tutelage of such a person.
ОтветитьThis is my own humble opinion.
If you're a new guitarists just starting and getting a starter pack.. get one with humbuckers and probably a hard tail not a trem..
Just saying, less noise, more stability for tuning, higher output at least in the bridge. HSS is also ok but for sure I'd want a humbucker in the bridge. As would most of the people I know. At least when they started playing.
Micromesh! Not sandpaper. Originally produced by the US military for polishing the squashed flies out of supersonic jet cockpits.
ОтветитьThe best segment ever, and i consider myself an advanced intermediate player.
ОтветитьWorst decision I made for my 1st axe many moons ago was picking a cheap, strat with single coils. Horribly thin and noisy:(. Moment I played one bar chord on the bridge pickup of my buddy's guitar with an H-S-S config was a life changing experience:).
ОтветитьWhen…..when did England hear about pimp my ride? Or xzibit? Or…or…..what? I was hoping our trash tv stayed in the US
ОтветитьMowing lawns between Christmas and March? Southerners, eh? 🙄
ОтветитьHolds up strings: "This could cost you 5 pounds."
Me: cries in 5-string bass
Pete did the thing, repeatedly.
ОтветитьCan i buy petes tele since hey takin care of the frets and strings?
ОтветитьPersonally I believe that the Multi Effects Pedals are the future... My wife and I both have multiple effects pedals that have the ability to be a portable recording studio and have Bluetooth headphones jack and plug in ubc cable has pedal Sims Cab Sim's Speaker Cab Sim's 🎤 Mic Sims The ability to add pedals as well plus run it through my phone computer 🖥️💻 PC laptop or tablet which is great for gigs mout to stand tablet to run it pre set up your sets. Can Drop Time through the Sims with our Re Tunning or getting another guitar... Can hook to clubs or bars pa system or stadium amps ... Just a Bargain when you add up the cost of what it can do .. Cheers 🍻🥃🥃 🎸🎵🎶🎶
ОтветитьPete could plug into a tin can and it would sound great
ОтветитьIn my mind, that will always be called "the Captain's Lick!" You know what I'm talking about!😎
ОтветитьIt's a dead heat to first band -- IF that first band has a PA system with one or two free inputs. Pete uses his upgraded amp, Lee connects his floorboard's outputs to 2 inputs in the PA mixer. I did my last gig that way and sounded killer.
ОтветитьOn this front Squier now has Debut series it seems to be the bottomest one yet from what i have seen. A strum buddy comes to mind when talking starter packs.
ОтветитьSorry, that sound quality was destroying brain cells dudes! Had to stop watching lol
ОтветитьI wish we had all these Information 20 years on a mouseclick away. I brought a old guitar magazine(german version) from 20 years ago. It was the first i ever bought as a teen and beginner. I rereaded it and the struggle with the cd and all. I wish i had learned on another time but... thanks for your vids. Love u for years. (My first Video i ever saw of you was with chappers and and christmas girl elf.)
Ответить150$ in Canada would get you 5 guitar picks
ОтветитьI'll take Pete's rig any day of the week. Sounds fat. Very satisfying.
ОтветитьI think Lee won this one. That rig he could actually gig with. With a DI to the front of house that would be good. I don’t think Pete’s amp would be able to keep up, even with it mic’d. But I could be wrong
ОтветитьIn terms of volume Pete won, but the sheer possibilities and the sounds available, the captain was the clear winner.
For a starter guitar and a budget friendly multi effects unit....god damn, that sounded sweet.
Where was this shit when us mid lifers were buying our first guitars 30 odd years ago.
Hands up if you still have your first guitar 🙋
I'd love to see another cheap guitar and mod it.
ОтветитьSuch a great video, I just love these jams between Lee and Pete
Ответить"how to make a squire playable finally "....
ОтветитьThe goldtop was clickbait 😭
ОтветитьThe goldtop was clickbait 😭
ОтветитьAdjusting a trem system and calling it easy peasy is misleading, should call it "Satan's challenge" and say it will take 24 years to get it right
ОтветитьAs a Canadian, the idea of washing cars and mowing lawns from Dec- March is hilarious
ОтветитьNo specs on the speaker size in Pete's upgrade.
ОтветитьFX Loop for $99! Plu that GP-100 in.
Ответитьpeople should prioritize tuning stability and playability over pickups and tone...
ОтветитьBought a b-stock LP style Harley Benton with a FR 1000 for 300€! THREE HUNDRED EUROS!! That's what you pay for just the Floyd, and now I got the guitar basically for free!
Anyhow. GREAT feel to it, but the pickups didn't play metal at all. Swapped out for a set of Bare Knuckle's Unity (450€ incl. taxes to get them to Finland). The guitar is my absolut go to guitar for E standard, and I own guitars worth 3x that!
When I got a my starter pack I went with a bigger amp later and a multi effect pedal. Basically combining Lee’s and Pete’s choices haha
ОтветитьAndertons should sell 'starter pack' options based on something like a GP100 and a pair of headphones (you could call it the 'parent saver' or the 'flat dweller' pack) because it keeps the players sounds to themselves and allows more flexibility of sound. Later on, when upgrading, the player can then get the big amp without essentially adding to the worldwide pile of e-waste needing to be recycled as the effects can be taken on into the big rig.
ОтветитьCan you please stop covering the decibel metre especially on vids like this lol
ОтветитьI'm amazed at the sound coming out of those starter pack amps. They seem to be an incredible value for a beginner. The guitars seem great for the $$, too.
ОтветитьKORG MIKU 😂
ОтветитьZoom G1X FOUR
ОтветитьGreat video guys.
Couldn’t have come at a better time.
I bought an east coast starter pack in January with some Christmas money( couldn’t practice in February or most of march after almost cutting of the tip of my first finger awch)
My birthday is coming up and I’ve been looking at budget pedals and multi fx. After watching this video I’m going to go for the gp 100 as I’m still only practicing in my bedroom
Thanks Captain
I saw the title and thought to myself "let's see what they did and then go straight to the comments and tell them what they should've done."
Turns out Lee already did the best thing I could think of in the shoes of a beginner. With everything I know I'd go down another route, but then I also would not have a starter pack which needed to be upgraded.
