MightyTeapot? I thought he quit GW2. (Note: this is a meme for Mighty Teapot he's advertise quitting like twice a year.)
ОтветитьI love how when he describes mythic he says "It's really hard to get 20 people together" right off the bat lmao
ОтветитьWell GW2 has changed for the better hasn't it, since I played it back when it came out :D Might be time to give it another try after years and years because this looks absolutely sick, especially if "more of this" is what anet have planned for the game's future.
ОтветитьCool stuff
Ответитьthis was a great video, love the inter-game raiding community interaction and looking at a new fight very cool
ОтветитьDude, loved the stealth mechanic, that forces mobs to get to melee. How cool would be a smoke bomb to do the same to cheese a little bit add spawns!
ОтветитьYou should finish playing GW2!
ОтветитьOne thing I’ve noticed from these talks is FF14 and GW2 players seem to be very open on difficulty both saying, “who cares, it’s not like the raids are required.”
While wow players can’t agree on how much player power should to be tied to raid specifically. Some want it to have all the best loot while a greater number are starting to see keeping higher ilvl loot in mythic as part of the problem.
I hope blizz continues to find ways to give non mythic raiders access to mythic ilvl loot through other means. That way mythic raiding can be all about the difficulty of the encounter and not the only way to properly gear your toon.
This is basically just a over glorified job interview…yall know what im talking about
ОтветитьDamn, really mixed feelings about the fight design. A lot of it is absolutely awesome, but damn bro the ammount of times I heard the man say "you die instantly" is too damn high.
Ответитьsheesh what a toxic chat
ОтветитьTeapot still claims having world first in triple trouble killing all the heads in 1 burn... which is stupid to claim when you had 3 communitys do that content for years before. Nobody claimed it because there was no such thing as world first before hot came out and people tried to get world first on chak and mordremoth.
So I did happen before, just there was no need for it to be claimed.
GW2 has great raid content, Im happy arenanet expands it with harder content. I wonder with what they will came up next. Id gladly watch you progress through it all, fingers crossed you will find time and team for it.
Ответитьjesus christ there is nothing more annoying than a fucking DOG
ОтветитьAlways awesome to see Max talking to people from other communities, really interesting to hear the breakdown with Teapot! That boss looked cool as hell. As a casual I'm always blown away by the ideas that top players come up with to push progression
ОтветитьGW2 has always been a game that trips over itself. Not that it''s BAD, but its afraid of being something more, because they fear the "casual" appeal will die with this content.
Max this recent series you've done looking at other games high-end PvE is so cool. WoW has (had?) the best raiding experience for pretty much ever, and I won't concede that, but having the biggest name highlight that there ARE other options is so good for the health of the genre.
Lot of people say that the PvE content is not up there when it comes to GW2.
I wouldn't say that the GW2 PvE content is bad. In fact it's very good. It's just not challenging for veterans.( not talking about the new CMs of course ) It's more of a casual experience for them, but still incredibly fun. But if you put a group of new players even in the easiest raid. They are still gonna struggle a lot. Due to how differently the game plays compared to other MMOs.
And there is also the open world PvE content, that is probably the best in the genre. Sure it's more of a casual experience, but the huge meta events and world bosses are the best you can get in the genre. Not even a competition.
Would adore to see these two go through the hardmode strikes honestly, maybe even some of the raids n hard fractals
ОтветитьDo wish Teapot could take him through the 3rd strike on challenge mode now
Ответитьgw2 underrated af
Ответитьit would be nice if mythic bosses gave some gold in wow, like 1k per player per boss, just so we get more incentive to do it. Nothing in other difficulties, just mythic. The idea of just buying xmogs is nice too.
ОтветитьLeveling in GW2 was pretty fun, in fact it was one of the better leveling experiences I've had over the years. I might dabble into it again soon before wrath comes out.
ОтветитьIt'll always be World First in Guilds war cause nobody plays that game.
ОтветитьThis was such a feel-good video. I watched several hours of the world-first race, but felt a bit deflated after I missed the kills. It was nice to get a recap from the man himself, and the discussion here was great.
ОтветитьThis makes my heart so happy. Thanks for this Max and Teapot!
ОтветитьWas incredible to speak with you about one of the most exciting things to happen in Guild Wars 2 history! The Harvest Temple is waiting for you...
ОтветитьGW2 is weird game. There is just so massive dps difference between casual and try hard groups and casuals can't just get better gear until they get over the hump.
ОтветитьGreat interview, thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьThe raids in GW2 are actually really good as well, I'd say. Especially if you're coming into them blind as a new player.
ОтветитьIt would be so fun to see Maximum take a group of friends and try to clear all the difficult content in the game. Like 98, 99, and 100 Fractal CM's, the harder Strikes, and Raids.
ОтветитьMy biggest problem with gw2 is it's reward structure. the entire game is the auction house. Anything can be purchased, which at the end of the day, means the best progression is to just farm gold. gw2 has a lot going for it, But I just can't see myself spending as much time in it as i do other games because what am I getting for my time? I can buy almost best in slot gear for pennies on the ah the second I hit max level.
Ответитьeven after the nerfs sepulcher is still quite hard, especially as there is no time left to fight the nerfed bosses
Ответитьall casuals complain. That's all they literally do. they can't be happy because honestly they prob should be playing a mobile game.
ОтветитьWait...15 minutes is considered "long"? Never played wow of ff so didn't know lol.
A clean Abrelshud Raid full clear takes about 3 hours. Gate 5 is a ~25min fight, last gate is a ~22min fight. And the combat/gameplay in general in LOA is way more mechanically demanding/reactionary than in classic MMOs like WoW or FFXIV
As a long-time fan of both GW2 and WoW, I am thrilled to see this kind of a cross-over. :D
It'd be really cool to see a group of experienced raiders and end-game players in WoW take on Guild Wars 2 for the first time, and see how they'd do with learning the differences, and applying all the shared skills between the two to conquer the GW2 endgame as well.
yo that seems super cool with all the dragons and shit
ОтветитьI love gw2
ОтветитьAlgorithming for the comment. Represent, teapot, lets go!
ОтветитьTeapot is the best one to listen to, when it comes to GW2. Try it guys! It is great!
ОтветитьThe only other races I really remember were Teq and Triple Trouble
Ответитьtrash game
Ответитьwhat an inconsiderate interviewer... typical wow player... dude has a a high quality microphone that picks up everything and he just lets his dog walk around and bark; jesus christ thats so rude
ОтветитьHey I'm a GW2 player, never heard of you before but came from teapot. It was really fascinating seeing how an outsider who's a professional in their own game views what's going on in GW2. Hearing your insight into the game design of the fights was great I hope you do more talks with Teapot. GW2 is a great game that suffers from having a very small media presence despite being up there in the top 10-20 highest player count MMO's.
ОтветитьNever heard of guild wars 2. Since about 2008 I've thought the only 2 games were WOW and GTA. Downloading GW2. TY Teapot.
(Hope it is like Final Fantasy with less lore and my little pony spell effects)
GW2 Class choice comes at lvl 80 via Elite Specializations,
The choice between 9 core professions only determines which three of the 27 different Elite Specializations you can choose form.
Each of the Elite Specializations would be their own Class in another MMORPG game like WoW or FFXIV.
Playing lvl 80 thief would be like having choice in WoW at any time to play Rogue or Hunter with Stealth or Warlock with Stealth 😂
