those good folks weren't at the Cirlce K to get gas or coffee...they were there because they couldn't sleep with all the train horns blasting the early morning air
ОтветитьThanks for the information on the cabins. They look great and will remind me of Maurice cabins on the Cape. Great video!
ОтветитьI’m just watching some extra videos Danny. Believe me they are all good. Cool video. I might call one of these and make reservations some day. Thanks 👍👍👍❤️
ОтветитьWe love Folkston trains when we have time to ride up there. We have learned so much since we started watching you explain how and why each train operates. Very interesting. I love all of them. You're right about planning your day when and where you're train watching. In Folkston we have been there early morning noon or late evening and always catch two or three trains. Thank you Danny for a good job videoing.
ОтветитьJust before dawn and early morning is one of my favorites too . Few things as thrilling as 8800 hp. Roaring past close up in the dark/first light .
ОтветитьI grew up there. Small little town
ОтветитьI'm definetly going to check out making those cabins a vacation spot!!!
Ответитьwhat is the CSX railroad radio channel for Folkston Georgia?
ОтветитьP09
ОтветитьNight is the only time I'd drop from 30FPS to 24FPS. that little bit more light helps. I'd also typically try and grab a prime over a zoom and open it up to 1.8 or 1.4 if I can. the jump to 1 or 1.2 isn't worth it in my book.
sonys A7S and FX line are some insanely sensitive cameras and would be my pick if night work was common.
Well done, Danny..thanks from coastal SC.
ОтветитьI am curious to know how you are able to find out where the trains originated from, destination and manifest contents?
ОтветитьUPS: Priority on Trains Also UPS: We will wait to give people their stuff.
ОтветитьStopped at Folkston once on our way back North from Florida. We could stay only a couple hours, but it was a fantastic experience. Planning on a longer stay on our next trip.
ОтветитьNow I know virtual railfan real name thanks Danny
ОтветитьHasn't CSX been "working on raising that [Howard St] clearance right now" for like.....10 years plus? Anyway, great video as always Danny!
ОтветитьI liked your railfan hotspot location Folkston GA!!! Ive been up to The Folkston Funnel before!!!
ОтветитьGreat video Danny!
ОтветитьThat is me when I'm railfanning on Norfolk southern
Ответитьdanny on e041 it sounds like the 4th engine is running just to let you know
ОтветитьI see A LOT of people at Folkston going around the gates -- one Toyota pickup driver has done so a number of times. I'm waiting to see one of these clowns pasted to the front coupler of a moving train.
ОтветитьBut I do love railfanning at night and day
ОтветитьDid anyone notice the DO NOT HUMP csx boxcar on qo31
ОтветитьFolkston Ga - a safe and entertaining location for rail fans. One of my favorite locations was CSX over the Ortega River. The old US 17 alignment is now a short pier and right next to the tracks and bascule bridge, ok for fishing per others. A homeless camp has started under the pier section, sooo.
I like the night video, it works fine. Your videos are great! Keep it up.
Haaa… North Chas SC ,where I’m from you will get plenty of action showing up down at the track late at night….stay on yer toes….
ОтветитьYes. Check on trains in Florida after Ian hurricane Thanks.
Ответитьwe stayed in the caboose on10/5/22. the noise kept me awake most of the night BUT we loved it
ОтветитьPretty good? They are among the best I've seen. So informative and just plain fun. My wife and I can't believe you do this just for fun.
ОтветитьI’ve been in the Chessie caboose
ОтветитьI think ur video's r very good. I know u try and tell all u can about what is going on ! I have watched a lot of train videos and you r the best !
Ответитьsuperb vidiography mr.harman.
ОтветитьYou might think of Folkston you think of Cookie Williams
ОтветитьTjat guy that drove on the tracks with a train coming, is a knucklehead
ОтветитьLove this! “Get what you can” is a motto I live by. Also agree night ain’t for the best quality outcomes, but the challenge is a fun one.
ОтветитьIf the train carrying the armed forces equipment was in Canada it would hold every piece of equipment Canada has.
ОтветитьIf you ever make it out west. Flagstaff az is a great hot spot.
ОтветитьUnless you have a flashlight on your camera or phone
ОтветитьI think predawn train watching is very interesting. Then again, any train watching is interesting.
ОтветитьDanny I can't tell you the number of times I have crossed those tracks and through Folkston. GA. on my way from Fla. to WNC since 1977.. I LOVE your videos and small towns you travel to. I am becoming a BIG Railfan myself because of you, your videos and a friend who is a Railfan! Keep up the GREAT Work I will be watching! Thank you Sir!
ОтветитьI injoyed that Danny qld Australia merv take care
