Thank you so much for watching! Today I’m going to be sharing my homemade recipe for stinging nettle pesto, made with foraged nettles from my garden. I am also working in my intentions for a kitchen witch/ green witchcraft spell.

I’m also including some foraging tips for safety. Always be safe when foraging and ensure that you are foraging somewhere that you are permitted to. In some areas it is illegal to forage for certain plants etc. so do research for your area.

NETTLE PESTO:

Ingredients:
2 packed cups of blanched nettles
1/2 cup packed Parmesan or other hard cheese (omit if vegan)
16 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (extra for pasta sauce)
100g pine nuts or almonds or walnuts
Juice of one lemon
5 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp sea salt

Method:
Wash your nettles and blanch for one minute or so in boiling water. Remove, drain and place in a bowl of ice water. Drain the nettles and sort through them removing any other plant matter (grass etc.) and the thick stalks.
Chop the nettles, if desired.
Put all the ingredients together in a blender (or use a pestle and mortar) whilst speaking out your intentions and imbuing your energy into each ingredient as you go.
Taste to test the flavour. Add any further lemon or salt, if needed.
Finish with more extra virgin olive oil.

As mentioned in the video, you can use different ingredients if they resonate with you and use your own correspondances that work for you to work your magical intention into the working. t
