His career was sabotaged in the US, but I got ahold of it. Im sure it was stickered with the 'import' crap they used to double the price. Like the cure & smiths' early stuff. Worth every dime.
If him and his dad were on the radio at the same time they could've sued each other over likeness rights, like the incredible John Fogerty case. This had to confuse people badly. It came out in 1984, and John's album Double Fantasy was still releasing singles in 84.
A lot like Lady Gagas 1st album and Madonna. Her singing skills have long since bypassed Madonna's, but her 1st record was very close to early Madonna. You close your eyes on Alejandro, and you can't tell whos who. A very sexy video.

I remember listening to this when I was only 10 years old... I am 50 now and I feel the melancholy of so much time passed. The harmonica gets me everytime. I now miss my twin brother, who died by suicide 2.5 years ago. He and I listened to the songs of the early 80s together, from pop to new wave and many one hit wonders and more. It was a great escape from some of the tough times where we endured childhood traumas together. I miss you brother! I pray that Jesus is comforting you in His arms and that you are in Heaven with God our heavenly father.
