This guy is completely wrong. He says to move the sight in the opposite direction of where the arrows hit. I almost put a hole in my fence. Your actually meant to move the sight in the direction of where the arrow is hitting. So here’s a great video that I recommend, he has a great method and clearly explains what to do.
ОтветитьShould I sight my 3 pin bow at 20 30 50 or 20 30 40?
ОтветитьMy sight housing doesn't click.
When I loosened it the first time it fell out. ヘ(。□°)ヘ
Can you use the stabilizer as a rest while sighting a bow in or will that damage it?
ОтветитьI am 60 yrs old, and starting bow hunting soon. I ordered a Bear Paradox from Cabelas, and plan to small game hunt very soon. This video is a dead-ass serious help for newbies. Not drawn-out, but very informative. Thnx for a great vid !!
ОтветитьThanks for being straight to the point and not talking for a million minutes on off bs subjects!
ОтветитьYou now I’m lost. Thought you were suppose to chase the arrow. If it’s going right like your did in the beginning, you move your housing to the right! Correct?
ОтветитьThis is wrong always follow the arrow.
ОтветитьI feel like this video was pretty lacking with the bare minimum amount of information
ОтветитьAren't you supposed to follow the arrow?
ОтветитьHi! I just found you guys' channel and I really like it. I really like your vibe and how you explain things!
One question, you started adjusting the individual pin at the 40 yrds. one. Why? Could you start at the 30yrds. pin or 20yrds. pin?
Great video.. Question is, Bowtech Guardian or General?
ОтветитьEasiest way to do this is use a rangefinder and use each pin for every 10-20 yards or meters.
ОтветитьJessica's
ОтветитьHi is it normal if the pin are some what close to each other because my 20 yard is dead on and when I shot my 30 it high every thing like the elevation and lift and right are dead on
ОтветитьBest thing I ever bought
ОтветитьThank you so much!! TOO EASY
ОтветитьBrand new to bow hunting, just picked up a Hoyt Torrex with a 5 pin sight, going to sight it in tomorrow! Thanks for the help, super clear and easy to comprehend! Subscribed for more of y’alls content!
ОтветитьNeed to lower your poundage, just watching that draw cycle hurts my shoulders
ОтветитьBro thanks for the video, it was super helpful! Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьThanks for the video, I watched a ton of others, but this was straight to the point, no BS.
ОтветитьVery good video but I’m running out of space with my pins and idk what to do
ОтветитьI get what everyone’s doing here in comments saying. “Straight to the point” “ right on target” “ precise and accurate info” “ great tips” very funny and clever with the puns
ОтветитьThx! Very clear!!
ОтветитьWould have been nice to actually see you physically making the adjustments but this was overall helpful thank you
ОтветитьWhat darw weight were u using and does ur draw weight matter?
ОтветитьI think you left out a very important step . Once you mounted the sight ,how far up and down should the pin housing ring be ? Where is a good starting point ?
The most important thing to know is how high the bottom of the pin ring is above the arrow . If you are using a drop away rest you need to make sure the rest is all the way up and with the arrow on it measure how high your fleshing are above the top of the arrow and you need to know the height of the broad head you are going to use .
Knowing this height will let you know your limit the ring can be set at . If you just put the bottom of the ring to the height of the fletching and you are using field tips when you put a broad head on that might be higher than the fletching if the tip of your arrow is before the sight when you go to shoot the arrow you might cause some real damage if the broad head hits the sight and the arrow goes straight down to your leg and cut a vain then you are in big trouble .
Make sure the bottom of your ring has at least 1/2 an inch of clearance from the top of the broad head you plain to use . Once you mark that distance on your adjustment markings make sure you don’t go below that mark for any reason . Mark it in red or with a tape .
The next thing to do is to adjust your top pin so there is a little space above the top pin, don’t set it all the way to the top . The reason is if you want to make slight adjustment to the close pin you don’t have to move the ring housing and change all the other pin settings . Or when you add a broadhead you might have to raise or lower the pin ,not the ring housing or you might want to add a 15 or 10 yard pin . I use my 10 yard pin all the time for rabbits and squirrels.
When you start shooting and you see you have to raise up the first pin to hit the target don’t raise the pin, be sure to raise up the sight ring housing . This will give you the best location of the sight ring .
The older I get the lower in poundage I shoot . So having the bottom of the sight ring at its lowers safest place helps me get the longest shot possible and still be able to use a pin . With a lower poundage bow the more space you are going to use in the ring and the bigger the spacing of the pins are going to be . So with a lower poundage bow the 60 yard pin might be at its lowest setting so I tend to set the sight ring as low as I can safely. .
What about wothin the 20yrd mark? How do ine aim? Top pin below intended target? Thanks!
ОтветитьWhen he says adjust the sight up with a low arrow at the beginning… don’t do that. Just broke an arrow.
ОтветитьAre you here in AZ? I need some help with my bow
ОтветитьHow do you know where 20yd, 30yd and the rest are at?
ОтветитьIs that 1 of Them new fruity bows?
ОтветитьI got a drogan x8 rth it come with everything I need to get started my question is I put my sight on the bullseye but I hit my target on the left side but in the kill zone but I want to hit bullseye
ОтветитьAmazing video thanks legend
ОтветитьIt's moving the sight at 40 after setting 20 gonna mess the 20 up? How not???
ОтветитьNew to bows: so your sight doesn't have to be in line with your drawstring, all that matters is your shot lands where the targeting sight rests when you aim?
ОтветитьHey can you tell me what is the function of the little dot is that is on top of my sight? At the bottom I have the level just like yours but at the top of my sights I have illuminated green circle with a black dot inside it. It is also some sort of a level but I don't understand it and I am not sure how much it would affect my shots. Thank you
ОтветитьI just traded for my first compound bow. I've always wanted one! I'm very excited to try this out. I watched the beginners video too. Thank you for the tutorials.
ОтветитьWhen I sight in my bow does my target have to be on the ground or can it be leveled
ОтветитьDo you still have the bowtech comander if so please contact me
ОтветитьCame to adjust my bow subscribed because you my people 🤘
ОтветитьSo if i buy a new compound bow the sights are factory set or no?
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks for the information for sighting in your 5-pin sight.
ОтветитьGreat, straightforward video. Thanks.
