I h! These two lawyers seem more like cops carrying guns.
ОтветитьI’m delighted that So-Many of Us love good-films, regardless of age (the Viewer’s OR the Film’s) — for the stories, acting, directing, cinematography, producing, etc; empty, billion-dollar ‘block-busters’ don’t satisfy a huge-majority of Viewers!
ОтветитьLol; …”The Coroner said He died of ‘acute traumatosis to the cerebellum’ — otherwise known as a hole-in-the-head.”
😆😋
Awesome movie!😁👍
ОтветитьVery good movie ❤
ОтветитьAnyone who's ever been to bed with a woman knows she has more to hide than she can ever cover up with cheap pillow talk.
ОтветитьMighty darn good movie. Where are all the good movie writer gone.😮😮😮😮
ОтветитьFantastic movie - exactly what I like to see! I love it when the conniving female gets "what's coming to her"....😁
ОтветитьMr. District Attorney (1947)
An assistant district attorney gets mixed-up with a woman who is working for the group that he is investigating. - imdb
Marguerite Chapman certainly put the "Femme" in Femme Fatale....she's right up there in the pantheon of conniving villian's
ОтветитьWhat a delightful surprise! Beyond the silly device of the gun-toting DA who does his own investigating in the street, this is a solid story, with a touch of pathos. Thank you!
ОтветитьComments here are far too kind for the typical Hollywood style melodramic dialogue throughout this film--but, at least it's still better than the brainwashing/leftist/woke trash Hollywood is passing off as moviemaking today.
ОтветитьI always read a few of the comments before i watch. as movies often get mixed reviews. Not this one, though. Excellent in every department...
ОтветитьI enjoyed this one very much! Miss Chapman and Mr. Menjou were terrific.
ОтветитьYou clearly have no idea what style Film Noir was.
ОтветитьOpening scene: I love how even criminals used to dress up for work
ОтветитьWhen a woman knew the kitchen and the bedroom were the best place for them. Bare foot and pregnant helped to keep out of trouble.
ОтветитьThe actor playing Steve looks like Dana Andrews on steroids.
ОтветитьGreat to see these fantastic old movies. It is such a pity that they are destroyed by so many long and annoying advertisements. To many interruptions make viewing a irritating experience.
Ответитьso good, I am subscribing. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьA very entertaining movie. Those are the days when there were good script writers, and actors who could say more than 4 words at a time. The films had monologs with words in sentences. Ah, those were the days.😊
ОтветитьWhatever happened to Hollywood voice culture? Every leading man and most baddies spoke in rugged baritones. Even the women were low contraltos. In contrast, today's actors sound like Mickey Mouse.
Ответить"Close the office one night a month. It's only fair to the mice." These wise guys are SO funny! Thanks for this.
ОтветитьGood movie! Thanks for the upload! 👍
ОтветитьFemme Fatale
ОтветитьI enjoyed it. Marguerite Chapman reminded me of Joan Bennett in looks. The cast was solid.
ОтветитьGood film. Thank you for posting.
ОтветитьHere in the days of Alvin Bragg, this movie is definitely fiction we can only hope will become truth someday
ОтветитьAlas, Marguerite Chapman, such a forgotten beautiful thespian actress. More gloriously easy on the eyes and an acting performance of "brilliant" in this one!
ОтветитьA great mystery/ whodunnit story played out by a superb cast all adding up to an excellent movie. Thank you for the posting.
Ответить"The floor show foesnt start before midnight"
"That's what you think!"
Hillarious. Normal humour is so much better than sex jokes.
Great film...Steve reminds me of Dana Andrews.
ОтветитьWhat a slut! What a totally , filthy disgusting person, what a brand new remake would make this GREAT, it is a great movie for it's time but would LOVE a remake!
ОтветитьAdolph Menjou always reliable. TV used to have The Adolph Menjou Theatre. In the 1950s.
ОтветитьGreat plot. Human foibles. Great writing.
ОтветитьMarguerite Chapman. Wow! Femme fatale!
ОтветитьGood movie.
ОтветитьMarguerite Chapman was hotter than a firecracker. I can see why Howard Hughes signed her up. Too bad he never made the movie he was planning for her.
ОтветитьHated it !!
ОтветитьReally good, thank you.
ОтветитьI swear that guy, Dennis O'Keefe's voice is dead-on Chuck Connors!! If this were a radio show instead of a movie, you wouldn't be able to tell whose voice you were hearing!! The lead character lives up to the D.A.'s assessment as a guy w/ethics, but he sure has terrible taste in women!!
ОтветитьThis movie is very good much better than the 1941 movie it was more light comedy this one was a real crime movie 5 stars.
ОтветитьI love Michael O’Shea and Adolf Menjou! I am not familiar with Marguerite Chapman, but she’s gorgeous and I don’t remember seeing her in other films.
ОтветитьNice to see that even a guy who shows up in the middle of the night to kill his wife wears a nice wool suit, a tie, and a pricey Stetson hat. Say, fella, ya got real class, I tell ya. Hope you didn't get doit on yuh suit while climbin' the fire escape.
ОтветитьWay before my time,totally agree,,its decent,,no swearing,,no sex scenes,,love legal dramas,,,thank you,much appreciated,,
ОтветитьExcellent movie!!!!!!
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful woman this actress was. I think she deserved to be more famous. And O'Keefe always charming. Great cast.
ОтветитьYou can’t call a secretary honey or baby anymore. Feminists put a stop to that.
ОтветитьI love these old movies because there's no nudity. There's no cursing and it's just an all right, natural movie.I just love them bring some more on
ОтветитьThese beautiful old black and white movies ❤
