So if this is in a holster, will it go brighter eating your battery? Or will it know it is in a holster or a safe, etc.?

I think it was a poor decision on their part to not add the multiple reticle system in the RMC. If they were already adding it in the new RMR what would the reasoning be?

Will it work with ANY RMR cut slides? I understand, from hearing another reviewer, that the optic sits deeper, and therefore may not work with other iterations of RMR cut slides. What is your experience?

Ill probably wait for a year to let the market catch up and pick on the rcr for cheaper for my acog piggyback combo and change out my rmr thats on it now

Trijicon knocking it out of the park! Prices are great for American made greatness!

Looks like Trijicon addressed the biggest complaints about the old RMR:
- bottom mounted batteries
- small window
- image distortion and excessive tint
- simple reticle (compared with the competition)

They also addressed a common complaint about red dots is general concerning shooting from or into areas with different light conditions.

I’ll wait for more reviews but so far I’m rather impressed by these changes.

Dose the RCR have the same feature as the HD? Dose it have shake awake ? Do you know if they will come out in a green dot?

Great overview. Another reviewer said some minor sanding or trimming on their Safariland holster allowed this new RMR to fully engage and lock in place as designed. So you shouldn't have to go replace all those style holsters if already invested.

What if a pistol is cut for rmr with the back up irons in front of the dot? I'm thinking then overhang wouldn't make this compatible for any rmr milled cut

Have you had any issues with the HD and the echelon? I’ve seen some people concerned that the window hanging over the barrel may cause issues similar to how the SRO causes malfunctions on the fn509. I wish Springfield would have moved that optics cut back just a hair more.

Great channel! Because of the RMR HD's length I've heard it may interfere with the ejection port on some models. Have you heard or experienced this? If so, are you aware of any feedback from Trijicon regarding this?

id like to see a comparison of the 509T window size to the RCR's window size. Also, does the RCR have the auto brightness sensor that the RMR HD does?

Does trijicon have something against auto live or shake awake?

As much as I think the new bolt screws seem a bit weird, I believe Trijicon did the smart thing with keeping the enclosed emitter footprint the same as the RMR. 👏🏼

Looks like the back side of the glass is waaaaaaay back in there and thus a bitch to clean. No thanks. Also, wondering if a screwdriver can fit into the battery cap from a full 90 degree verical position, or whether the hood of the optic extends back far enough to get in the way.

Not worth the price. Not even close. Plus, within 3 to 5 years it'll be old technology and replaced with their newer versions. So, you pay $180 to $300 per year to have extra features you don't need or won't use, only to be driven in the end to get the newest version that will again have even more expensive features that 99.9% of all users either do not need or will never, ever use. The optics business is exactly like the auto business, all kinds of super expensive additions that no one really needs.

the rcr mounting mechanism means you can't use it with zev, brownells, and a bunch of other rmr cut slides that have the "recoil lugs" with a smaller threaded screw that goes into said lugs.

In all honesty....there is nothing new to justify the price....that forward sensor is not ground breaking...the holoson SCS can adjust the dot realy good without that sensor. The price is ridiculous and people will accpet it because its American but in all honesty, if you running a holosun 508T then you good....im not going to even bother buying this optic because there is no innovation here.....Holosun is leading the carry optic industry now....Trijicon is trailing like it or not....
