A fantastic video again Steve! Really enjoy the shots made with Portra 400, it's indeed a beautifull film. Always nice to see your part of the world! I invite you to my channel to see my part of the world ;) Cheers! and keep up the good work!
ОтветитьHi Steve really enjoyed your video. Great idea about plotting Delamere. Regards Paul
ОтветитьGreat idea about planning for later in the year. Something I really need to do and going to go out and explore myself over the coming months. Will also hopefully let me hone my skills on composition, ect.
ОтветитьVery enjoyable video Steve. Thanks.
ОтветитьAs always a brilliant video, absolutely amazing images and I can think of worse places to stand around waiting for the light. What a brilliant idea naming all the small ponds and publishing it, very giving. I was just using my Tamron 24-70 on my EOS 5 with Ektar this morning. I like it so far with things of strong colour such as bluebells but I've found I have to move the white balance in post to slightly warmer or I get a blue cast. I'm using Portra 100 at the moment on my MF, is there much difference in saturation between the 100 and 400 please Steve? The late generation analogue cameras feel so natural after shooting digital after for so many years, and it's the only time us Canon shooters can use our new lenses with 35mm film. I recommend getting these cameras of the same make you are using for digital as a first film camera, great quality, cheap and nothing extra to pay for lenses. So if you decide film isn't for you you've only lost £20 but Canon only take ef lenses though not the ef-s.
ОтветитьVery enjoyable watch as always Steve.
ОтветитьJust ace
ОтветитьLove the video and the Doolittle Moss recce . Nice pictures on Flickr . Look forward to the publication of the Steve o'nions maps ! Delamere Forest is my "project" for the year so maybe we should compare maps !
Mike
Great video and photography as always. You always inspire us. I was curious, you never worry about coming across shady characters or wild animals? I learn a lot from you, my photography is improving. Endless thanks. Stay amazing and we'll keep watching.
ОтветитьNice one steve, keeping film alive. And someone who gets up at stupid o'clock like me
Ответитьwhat a fabulous location ! I'm very impressed with the quality of your film images as well,so much detail in them 👌
ОтветитьVery nice video and some great film images.
ОтветитьExcellent as usual Steve.
ОтветитьExcellent video! Just curious - is there a reason why you put your camera away when walking?
ОтветитьDo you process your own color negatives?
ОтветитьMy D750 produces lifeless dross! Film has life! To my eyes anyhow :)
ОтветитьDid you change from Portra to Ektar in the
middle or were they on different cameras?
Hi Steve. Just catching up! Love this video, in particular the second image. I've decided to go light this autumn on my trip to the West Highlands of Scotland. I'm going to take my Olympus Om2n with Zuiko 50mm 1.8. (Can't yet decide whether to also go wide with my 24mm 2.8 or just take zoom 75-150 f4.... decisions decisions!) Of course the next question is film... I'm normally a MF black and white kinda gal 😁 but it will be autumn and I'm thinking of breaking the bank and just taking Portra 400 to cover pretty much everything, light, landscape, seascape and portrait. Do you mind me asking your opinion...what do you think? Also do you shoot Portra 400 at box speed? Certainly will be a change for me. And yes something new can only be good! 👍🏻😊 Thanks Steve.
ОтветитьI nearly bought the Nikon F80 years ago when it first came out, but shooting Canon Eos prevented that. I didn't want to go into 2 systems. I loved the images shot on Ektar and the versatility of a 28-200mm lens means a light weight kit.
ОтветитьWatched this video again and again found something important to me. Thank you, Steve!
