ОтветитьInternet Tariffs have been constantly going down in price.
ОтветитьAlways look forward to your videos. Especially the comments of "visitors" who won't be coming back for one reason or another. Like they'll actually be missed .....

ОтветитьVery depressing that Spain is so dependent on China. A country that is the worst human rights abuser in the world by a mile. A dictatorship that conducts organ harvesting on political opponents. It's money that matters though. Pedro Sanchez turns a blind eye to the horror of Chinese human rights abuses for local political expediency and money. Shame on him.
ОтветитьOnce upon a time, Spain used to be the China of Europe, where machined industrial machinery was build in Spain. Now we can barely build washing machines! And the new washing machines are built to last 3 years!
ОтветитьConstruction is booming. new estates springing up all over. I think we are heading for a new 2008 bust. I give it 2years so my prediction 2026.
ОтветитьI have watched a dog squat and piss on the hallway carpet and then the owner just continues to the elevator.
ОтветитьIn central London you will pay nearly £9 for a pint. 2-3 euro’s sounds amazingly cheap.
ОтветитьSorry to have missed the live event (we slept until noon). Love the wallpaper - I’d like to go back to Bilbao and I think Santander is close.
ОтветитьMuchas gracias Mia for your input into senor Stu’s podcast today!! I found it very interesting & relevant.
ОтветитьWhat percentage of tourists travel with pets?
ОтветитьGEEZ Stu I'm absolutely shocked at you unemployment rate. In the US we are at 4.2 unemployment rate which is fantastic for our economy. In California fuel is $4.19 a gallon and thats a national high because we pay road taxes in out fuel prices. Stocks are high and interest rates just dropped recently. We have come a long way since 2020. All we have to do now is make it through the upcoming Presidential election.
ОтветитьHere in Barcelona, if you cycle through the online Cita form as fast as you are able manually (taking advantage of autofill) the system will eventually block your ISP for an hour. If these scammers were using bots to gobble up the available appointments, and delivering 'fake' appointments, I can only assume that what was 'fake' about them is that they didn't bother to input their victims' actual data, making the slots they secured useless. It would also seem likely that they were not only using a bot, but also multiple ISP's to get around the 'speed limit'.
It took me two weeks to get an appointment for my TIE, and the appointment was six weeks out. I'm currently trying to get one for my wife. I started back in late August, and I've actually gotten through twice. The first available appointment was impossible for her. The second time, it took too long for the authentication SMS to reach us, and the system had timed out before we could enter it (that appointment was for the same week). Hopefully, when we eventually do get it, we will be able to convince the officer to process our boys' at the same time, or that is two more Citas we need.
There are a fair few reasons for the high unemployment rate in my opinion:
1) Salaries are low. People with any sort of benefits or financial support won't be rushing back to work. Kids rather stay in education longer, hoping for higher starting salaries once they finally start working. However, without work experience, they will be unemployed as not willing to take on any jobs wirh multiple degree qualifications.
2) That leads us nicely to my second point. People are extremely picky when it comes to job search. Spanish people won't do any type of work for sure. And I'm not just talking about hospitality where 80% of staff are foreign (mainly latin), but office type jobs too. People turn down job offers just because it requires them to drive 15 mins daily or take two stops with the cercanía (I work in HR so talking by experience here...)
3) There must be a huge number of illegal workers. On paper they are unemployed, however they do cash in hand jobs. People here love to get out of tax liability. Just try to hire some services or work with self employed people. Rest assured you will be offered a lower price if you pay in cash in return of no receipt 🤷♂️
These are the main reasons I can think of but there could be plenty more...
Free appointments being sold? Seems like an easy fix. Free appointments should only be set up for a person with their name and necessary data. Appointments can’t be changed to another person, and thus can’t be sold. Companies that handle visas, must also make the appointment in the name of the “visa seeking” person, which again can’t be changed to another person. Well that’s my take on it. Hola todas.
ОтветитьSo how much purchase tax (in euros) is the Spanish Govt receiving when someone buys a Spanish property for 500,001€ ???
💶💶💶💶💶💶💶💶💶💶💶💶💶💶
And what is the best / cheapest way of converting large amounts of £💷s to 💶€s, because exchange costs are going to make a purchase more expensive too?
I live in rural Granada province, it's 1.20 for a coffee and 1.50 for a beer with a free tapa 😊
ОтветитьIt's more than 11.6 per cent, more like 30 percent.
ОтветитьI think/ hope the supplent might be for the removal of pet hair, etc.
Unless the cleaning is thorough, any following guests with allergies would not be able to use the accomodation.
Have you ever bought the garbage from merca china and max shop it's not fit for purpose trash and a waste of natural resources manufacturing and shipping the junk
ОтветитьUnemployment is kept high to lower wages and facilitate immigration. One of the measures is to segregate by age at all costs, depriving the economy from experience and lowering people's sense of own value
ОтветитьThere you go, Spanish bureaucracy does create business opportunities and fosters an enterprise culture,... for criminals.
