Are these good for long standing?

I got the trail version, beautiful and confortable

i tried on the gel nimbus 25s, was it just me or did they feel a bit too solid. Or would I have to break them in to feel the "cushion"

Got these today, I've never ran in my life but i walk, im 23 and obese, it hurt my ankle so much . Is it common feeling this ankle ache on first wear? Appreciate your response
