Pros
1) food is one of the best
2) The library is very good. You can contact the authorities to get any book you want. They will buy them from the market.
3) compared to other private colleges, drugs and fighting among students is quite less (although cigarettes are openly sold in the mandir shops but the college doesn't take any action)
4) if you have any issue in the room with the furniture etc, it is immediately attended by the carpenters and electricians. You just have to write about it in the hostel register
5) gyms have good equipment
6) usually there is very little ragging but it is more fun than the things you see in the news. If some senior indulges in serious ragging, strict disciplinary action is taken against them
7) If you are into research, you have to contact the authorities and you can get access to all the research papers and majority of the faculties are very happy to help you.
8) you have many choices of different subjects from 5th semester onwards
Cons
1) Wifi doesn't work well in many hostels
2) Non supportive in terms of placement as the placement office is worse. The breaks between semesters are so small that it is very difficult to complete a 6 week internship in summer break and you have just 10-15 holidays in winter break.
3) there is so much religious hate for non Hindus, especially among 1st and 2nd year. Trust me it is just too much.
4) No coding culture. College doesn't promote it.
5) good faculties are leaving
6) curriculum is outdated
7) The web portal is always down
8) no sports facilities
9) The library has a seating capacity of just 400 and majority of the tables don't have charging sockets
10) open corruption in JYC and college fests. In the last balance sheet of the fests, they showed that the rent of mattresses for 2 nights was Rs 1.8 lakh
