That's interesting but look at the hardware behind all that. How much energy would this device have to create to manufacture itself, or could it.

That's a very neat concept, how much power does it generate? Those turbines looked fairly small so the power output must be fairly low although if you built more of them, used a larger turbine etc this could be quite a nice little power generator - it also avoids the main issue of solar power: storage

Seriously, that giant contraption to fill a handful of cylinders, a chainsaw engine could do it in a few hours.

This IS NOT without cost. That wave energy has a purpose. I don't know all the ways it contributes, but taking the energy depletes or eliminates some of that contribution. Same with windmills. There is no free lunch.

Pumped storage is essentially the same concept. Not revolutionary. It all comes down to power density and scalability.
