Every Nintendo Stylus

The new 3DS stylus is awful; because it's so short and it has that lip going all the way around the top it always irritated my hand. There are third party telescoping replacements but thanks to the awful 3DS naming scheme search results get flooded with old 3DS and new 3DS XL stuff, making them really hard to find.

what i did to fix the stylus issue with the new3dsxl is litiarly just putting some tape on the inside against the system itself, i know its not perfect but it makes it snug again

It’s funny how you mention the 3DS XL stylus being almost exactly the same as the DSi XL’s. I got my DSi XL secondhand recently and it didn’t come with its original stylus but for some reason I had a whole bunch of 3DS XL styluses so I just replaced it with one of those and it genuinely works almost perfectly. It sticks out ever so slightly and the 3DS XL stylus is curved where the DSi XL stylus is square so it doesn’t sit flush but it doesn’t particularly bother me personally

Man, the Scribblenauts pencil stylus actually looks super comfy to hold because of the fact that it’s so thick. I’d love to get one someday, especially since I’d do anything to get my hands on Scribblenauts merch lmao

Despite never owning a 3DS, I did have a metal stylus. Pretty sure the back half popped out at some point.

Fun fact: The DS Lite stylus is so ubiquitous that it just comes with random unrelated stuff nowadays. When I bought a touchscreen designed for the Arduino, it came with a DS Lite stylus.

I love my telescopic stylus. I never had any issues with needing to turn the 3ds around, since I could just slide it out with my left ring finger. I did have some issues with it rattling and sliding out, which was easily fixed with a tiny strip of packaging tape wrapped around the thicker part of the stylus, which is now pretty much impossible to see.

I prefer the stylus on the top, that's where my fingers are and I can easily grab it quickly. Do people really have to turn over their DS to look for it? There's a big groove marking where it is, unlike grabbing on the side where you have to move your hand out slowly to feel where the stylus is. However, I hate how it's on the bottom of my 3DS XL, and mine is also kinda floppy half extending

Ive had my New 3DS XL since I was 9 years old (2015), I still somehow have my stylus that came with it, ive been so careful over the years of using it so I wouldnt lose it, it cant even stay in the 3DS anymore because I tend to chew on it a little when I was younger, not to the point I cant even use it but just a little on the top of it, the amount of times I remember losing it then finding it again, I always keep it in my 3DS case so I wont lose it again. So im one of many people who had that problem lol.
