I change my air filter same time I do my oil, every 5k to 7k miles. I know it will help my engine a lot in the long run and it only cost like $20 to buy

If you have an electric car, the air filters are for the fresh and cabin air conditioner intakes. They get dirty and need changed out, but not as frequently as the intake filter on an internal combustion car.

The oil bath air filtration system was and is superior. After MT. Saint Helens irupted in 1980 vehicles used for logging downed trees would destroy the engine with regular airliners because of volcanic ash. The oil bath system were the only ones that protected the engine. The oil was changed everyday.

I own a 94 Celica with over 344,000 miles on it. It filters me having a Stupid Car payment with high taxes and insurance. 😂

I’m a glorified lube tech at the shop that I work at, which means I do a lot of the inspections. Can confirm that about 1/4-1/3 of all air filter that I look at need changing. And it’s gotten more common as the air quality has tanked around here due to all the wild fires and smoke to our west
