Great job, but...routing air toward the inside of the ring is not effective. That will cool only the inner ring but not the outer, placing the inner ring under more stress and temp changes, resulting in cracks. Air needs to be routed toward the middle of the rotor hat to utilize the rotor veins between inner and outer ring surfaces to suck the air through and cool both rotor ring surfaces together.

You probably should have the air duct closer to the hub at the base of the disk so it blows through the center of the disk, cooling the whole disk.
ОтветитьIt will raise the temperature when do a hard brake, the heat will melt carbon fiber and epoxy parts. So I don't think cfrp is better than origin parts to be used in here.

Ответитьnice I will order my oven to start post curing my air boxes projects. Not too sure if this would be safe on the breaks tho. If they cool unevenly they could warp. But the technique is what was most fascinating to me.
ОтветитьYou put the air to the wrong part of the brakes. The air should be going to the center of the rotor so it can be forced out via the middle fins. Putting air on one side of the surface is not going to cool anything other than that one side which could lead to a host of new problems.
