Ответитьgood overview and hilarious too!
ОтветитьThis dude looked like he came from the middle ages
ОтветитьHey! Humans! I can't stand the whole Mac vs PC thing. I'm impartial and I use both on a daily basis. They're each good for different things, like software support and gaming is great on windows, but they only recently got built in SSH support, and isn't enabled by default, and Mac looks incredible, and it's based on unix, therefore related to linux, running on most servers, but they can be overpriced, and apple seem to be testing the boundaries of how much people will pay for stuff. People prefer different things. Deal with it.
ОтветитьI run Ubuntu from seabios on a braswell device
ОтветитьJust bought a new Dell 15 7000 with loads of RAM but only a 256GB SSD. Hate the native Win10, love Linux, esp Mint, but need all the storage I can get so don't really want to dual boot, but nervous about dumping Win10 altogether in case i ens up needing it for something non-compatible with Linux. Thinking of dumping Windows onto an external drive or flash drive, but is that a feasible solution? Or should I lust do a clean drive install of Mint on the SSD and wave bye bye to Windows?
ОтветитьNo, you do need a haircut.
ОтветитьNever had any issues with wifi drivers and "sound cards". Which btw sound cards haven't been a requirement since the mid 90's. Most people seeking them are seeking them for media output or midi device input, which midi devices haven't been a thing for about the same time (mid 90s). Of course you would think chrome books are the best, you would prefer a locked down environment over a free environment.
ОтветитьFuck your outro begathon and fuck your jumpcuts.
ОтветитьA pimped out thinkpad T430. Final answer
Ответитьwhich one is best for Kali ?
ОтветитьAre You able to give me a laptop on which I will not be able to install Linux? Please, be my guest!!!
ОтветитьYou forgot the Manjaro Team made a Laptop together with X-Station "Spitfire".
I still think about to buy it, what do you think about?
If you're programmer - you shouldn't be confused about configuring Linux on most laptops. I happen to use Dell XPS13 - it's great machine, but I'd recommend Thinkpad - I use X1 carbon and it is *amazing* under Linux (Solus, Fedora, or any of your favorite distro)
Ответитьin short, just buy whatever that is a pc...
I thought we'd discuss the battery manager, which is shitty on ubuntu compared to windows on my dual boot.
Used business laptops are the best great for Linux and the environment.
ОтветитьI'm running Kali in my old Dell Inspiron 4z N411z. Intel i5 + 16GB ram. I have never experienced any drivers' issue . Runs great!
ОтветитьI´ve got a Lenovo thinkpad L560 (bought in spring 2017), Ubuntu 16.04 works great. Dualbooting.. But i do have some problems with windows, (got a blue screen yesterday) haha.
ОтветитьManjaro install all drivers automaticly
ОтветитьOne of the best Notebooks with Linux comes from TUXEDO Computers. I like this Notebook and it is exactly the "wonder" what I was looking for. Try this and I am agog what other person feel with it.
Ответитьhaha i laughed at those tongue-in-cheek comments
ОтветитьImho, Dell is pretty good, but the buildquality.. meh. The Xiaomi 12 and 13... I love it for the price you get. Unfortunately they became more expensive. My MI air 12 runs Elementary OS out of the bo, music browsing, battery life is around 7 hours.
ОтветитьI like how he sponsored himself 😂
ОтветитьPinebook 64.
Ответитьi lov ur hair
ОтветитьDon't buy Dell developer. I fell for it. There are proprietary things that screw it up. For one thing Dell disabled the hotkey that Windows key would activate - to get to the top menu you have to do a mouse click. I'm sure Dell disabled this functionality because of the Windows logo-label not actuating a Windows function. And Dell locks you in to getting a version of the distro from them. And the version they offer is frozen and not updated. I gave up and installed windows. Also, not all Lenovo laptops are compatible with, say, Ubuntu. A T400 or T410 is, but a T460 is not, at least without a lot of screwing about and I have not found anyone reporting full success. System 76 is the way to go. I'm afraid the chap here doesn't really seem to have much hands-on experience.

ОтветитьWill razer blade 15 go for this?
ОтветитьI think your hair looks just fine. If you like it, then that's great, leave it as it is.
Ответитьchrome book is a Linux os
ОтветитьHP laptops are really great for linux from my experience.
I have had no problems out of HP in recent years.
They mostly use Intel Wifi and intel in general has great open source drivers
HP stream laptops are a great option for a backup linux laptop, while you can't upgrade the storage internally, you can just put a 128GB SD card in there because the in-built storage is about the same speed anyways.
The option I'm currently using, HP EliteBook. given that you get the right one, they're cheap, have great linux support, have decent specs and are ultrabooks.
GPD pocket ?
ОтветитьWhat's the best laptops for Linux? ThinkPads of course! ThinkPad T420 running Linux Mint here. It came with a show HDD with Windows 7. But I threw that piece of garbage HDD in the trash and put in a SSD with Linux Mint. Kicks ass and takes names too. Highly recommend getting one. Don't spend a thousand dollars on System 76. Get something cheap. Like me. Mr. Cheap Ass over here
ОтветитьWhat is a good laptop with 4k video editing ability? And a touch screen?!?
Ответитьdave mustaine LOL
Ответить350+ gays in here
ОтветитьGetting Linux on laptops is hard unless you buy expensive. If you have a low cost Lenovo or Acer, or a brand that has had install difficulties, use EndlessOS or PopOS. They seem to work well and install with ease on Acer and Lenovo. With Endless the install is so easy you can take a nap or go shower while it installs.
ОтветитьI bought a gaming spec dell... everything worked pretty much straight away... except thte games...
ОтветитьPop os is awesome!!!
ОтветитьDoes the Pixel book work with Linux ? 🤔
ОтветитьThx for the System 76 info. I found it rather useful. Thx, again.
ОтветитьI always see chromebooks on these videos. I suppose that counts as Linux but I need it to run a good ide
Ответитьi got a Starlab Mark 3 with Mint preinstalled its supposed to be good i dont know i just got it today. it is made in the UK.
ОтветитьI want a Linux Laptop, because i don't want to buy a windows lizense
ОтветитьDell XPS - Fingerprint reader does not work under linux. You did not mention that!!!
ОтветитьHi all, I am somewhat of a noobie to linux (I only spent around 3 months with it) and was wondering if a Lenovo T520 with the upgraded quad core cpu, ssd of course and 16 gigs of ram running Linux Manjaro (I tried Ubuntu, Mint) would be a good fit. I intend to occassionally run Kali Linux in virtual box from time to time also, is running kali in manjaro a good idea though? How well would it handle. Appreciate all advice :)
ОтветитьLENOVO THINKPAD THAT HAVE LINUX INSTALLED
ОтветитьCan you make a vid about ceap linux laptop's
Ответитьhow about my old macbook which runs MacOS, Windows 10 and Kali perfectly fine as a triple-boot? Very versatile; Windows 10 for light gaming, MacOS because i just love that OS (and app development) and Kali for, obviously, pentesting (on my own stuff, nothing illegal)
