What if the Night Lord was Artorias? Night Lord Artorias, Herald of the Abyss. Remember how Manus used his hand and the power of the abyss to pull us from another timeline of the future, into the past? And instead of Artorias being the hero, we were the ones to be an end to Manus. What if they are kind of doing the same? They are pulling bosses and characters from different timelines of the abyss, into this convoluted world. That would be amazing

I think I still wanna play it but I was hoping for something new onto actual Elden ring. I’d like for people to be able to still make custom monstrosities of characters and not be playing pre-set as one for sure change. I have played plenty of destiny though so managing skills with souls like style combat shouldn’t feel too complicated. I just had different expectations I guess don’t know if it’s a game that will hold my attention for super long

Not for me… I loved Elden Ring and the DLC and played over 500 hours but I think I’ll pass on Nightreign… Don’t like the new type of game… I think it gets boring pretty quick.

Nevertheless, I hope the game turns out awesome for those who like these types of games..

You do call the "other world" enemies from a different game appearing is kindof a cop out , i agree it is a little , and might cheapen the franchise, however if you ever visited ash lake you would remember that each tree holds up another world. The worlds being each souls game , if you dont believe me , the trees exist in bloodborne and maybe even elden ring too. I dont know , i havnt beaten it

I'm definitely excited to try it out! I really like the idea of them giving other guys at the company a chance to make something that they are passionate about. I think it's kind of silly to be worried about the future of Fromsoftware because you don't like the idea of this game. Miyazaki is still making his games. They are still doing their thing. But now we are just getting more of it. Like you said, releases every year instead of every 3. I'm definitely down for that.
One thing I appreciate most about Fromsoft is that they just make the games they want to make. They don't seem to care that much about what other people think they should do. They want to follow up Elden Ring with Armored Core which most of their fans had never heard of? Sure, why not. They want to make this weird hybrid of Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Fortnite? Well, who am I to tell them they shouldn't? They haven't had a miss in like thirteen years... and until they do, I'm here for whatever they want to make.
