Spelunky 2 OST - Black Market - Beneath the moss

At least you get to hear this masterpiece while you murder a dozen shopkeepers without the angry shopkeeper music.

This track alone is enough of a reward for getting this far

Helpful hints on finding the Black Market in a Jungle Level before you even use the Udjat Eye's blinking!
- The introduction to the Black Market's theme can be heard in any back tunnel, meaning that if it isn't just muffled Jungle music then the Black Market is somewhere on the level.
- The Moon Challenge will never spawn in the same level.
- Back areas may occasionally be close enough to reveal the tunnel by a slight bit, narrowing down where it could be on the level! This also includes if it's super hard to find because it's nowhere near a back area, as this shows it can't possibly be in certain sections.
- Spectacles and Torches can illuminate the back areas well and possibly give away the location of the Black Market.
- The entrance tunnel is mostly vertical, so you don't have to search everywhere for it, just in a straight vertical line. Plus, the doorway will always be at the top of the tunnel.
- If you go into a back area at the bottom of the level you can check if the Black Market exists on the stage.

Whole jungle is cancer but this music is not

It's crazy how the theme has an entirely different feel depending on if you angered shopkeepers or not, it is a wonderful secret area full of loot or a dangerous fortified outpost also full of loot.

I liked the original better tbh.
This actually applies to a lot of the returning areas of the game.
It just doesn't slap as much. If it don't make me wanna frantically dance, why bother?

I won't say this about many of the tracks in this game, but i wholeheartedly believe this track is better than the Spelunky 1 black market track.

not even close to as good as the first ones theme, its fine on its own though, plus its kinds hard to beat perfection

I think this is in 5/4 or 5/8. Very nice tune

IMO it’s SOOOO much better than Spelunky HD’s black market. And side note; the Shopkeepers being able to climb ropes and ladders makes it so much harder to raid

My first jungle run was a black market run. I had the eye of udjat and near my jungle-2 spawn the eye started blinking. that was also my first black market death...

This feels more like an alternate track for the Jungle than a track for the Black Market to be honest. And that's really my only problem with it. Cuz the black market theme from the first game and the jungle were distinct from each other but I'd never guess that in this track here.

In the case of B, when you return, that's the exact point when the good part ends.

Got my stimmy today so I had to listen to this one!

I can still hear the sounds of exploding bomb boxes and angry shopkeepers.

It's just not enough. I actually modded my game to play 1's bm theme here instead of this one. This could have grown on me, but I didn't give it time.
