Hey guy's I really love this video but can you please clarify something for me? James said he fermented in his basement which is "in the low 70's F" so are you just letting the beer ferment at ambient temp of 70'ish with no temp control? if the ambient temp in the room was 70'is what was the actual temp of the beer?
ОтветитьPANEL!!! PICK ME!!! :-D (I have judged a few times...lol.)
ОтветитьCan't tell you how awesome that challenge is gonna be. Cheers and Good luck to you both!
ОтветитьIf you send me one of each beer I'll be glad to help judge!
ОтветитьThis is great! So how about a food pairing with the beer as well?
ОтветитьNext time I'm through Farmington I'll grab some of the sorghum. Sounds like a nice way to boost an ale.
Cheers from Springdale.
Loving the Vids Guys
ОтветитьOutstanding as always guys!! Lunch is so much better when sitting at my desk and watching a BB episode! This episode was especially good as I am a big Belgian Ale fan.
ОтветитьSounds delicious! Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьLooks great! I have really been enjoying your podcasts and videos. Have you done anymore on small batch brewing? Living in a small place I really like the small batches (1-2 gal). I have a 1 gallon of Irish red ale going right now. Thanks for all of the help.
ОтветитьThat looks awesome. Do you think this recipe can be scaled down for a one gallon batch?
ОтветитьI went head brewed this. It's one week in the primary. I was planning on kegging this. Should I still go ahead and put this in a secondary?
Ответитьhey James. so I went ahead and brewed this beer. and it came out delicious!!!
But I did take some liberties on your recipe. Instead of regular brown sugar, I used pure Colombian brown sugar. it come in a brick form. Also , at 15 minutes before the end of the boil, I added .5oz of crushed black pepper, which gives it a nice ting at back of the mouth. also added orange peel and coriander. I think this is going to be a regular for me. I am curious to see how this ages. Thanks alot
it turned out awesome.
ОтветитьGreat videos gents! (I think my favorite part of all the videos was at the end of this one!) I've watched more than a few videos and I never see you guys discuss anything about the water. It seems that you brew many different styles so I'm wondering if you can give a quick explanation on what water you use(local water, add salts, etc.?).
ОтветитьThanks for using the metric system. Also great video!
ОтветитьLooks fantastic. I want my first brew to be a brown sugar american ale.
ОтветитьMalt Teasers are always fun.
Ответитьdid you use any priming sugar for bottling day?
ОтветитьHey James. Really silly question. I know you mention it's a 19 litre batch but whats you starting water volume before you mash in?
ОтветитьMore Brew Challenges Please!
Ответитьis that actual brown sugar or the one where they add molassses to white sugar sadly:(
