I have low porosity hair and yea, it can take two days to dry, so I heat dry with heat protectant.
I don't do wash and go because it takes forever to air dry.

What Flat Iron Are You Using?

I feel you about low porosity hair and protein treatments. I'm still learning about my hair and I believe I have low porosity hair because it does take a while to get thoroughly wet. And I do steer clear from any protein treatments. Am was trying to figure out if I am protein sensitive or have protein overload from years ago when I did a protein treatment on myself. My hair hadn't been the same since. But maybe I had a negative affect because I have low porosity and it just say on my hair like your saying. Thanks for giving and alternative such as olaplex or a professional done bond system. You are a great teacher, you are so knowledge and you absolutely slay hair. Don't worry about what the people say. Keep educating up because I have learned everything I needed to know about low porosity hair and I now know that's what I'm dealing with. ❤️. Much love and continued success. I do wish you were in the Detroit area!

Travelle constantly combs through the hair after he presses the hair. My learning leader told me in cosmetology school that it’s not best to comb the hair after you press the hair because it can cause frizz.

How do you know if you have low or high porosity hair? My hair is very fine and curly. I cut it all off and it grew back straight and still won’t curl in the front. Did I ruin my hair with heat damage?

"It's genetics..." That part! So many people have these potions that won't work for everyone's hair, simply because they don't have the same genetic make-up.

Shoot everything sits on low porosity hair lol. I know i struggle w. my daughter's hair but at the same time, keeps it strong. And you are right. Everybody told me to do Cantu leave in but that stuff just sits on the hair and makes goop. I do a lot of light products in layers to get her protected.

Need more vids on silk press for high porosity. Seems these low porosity ones are always amazing. Possibly less of a challenge LOL.

Do you have any colleagues you could recommend in the DC area. I have low porosity fine hair and have only had three silk presses since being natural. The first time I had hella heat damage, 2nd and 3rd time my hair reverted about 2 hours after I left the salon (in December 🙃).

Letting the client decide while still giving professional recommendation is perfect 👏🏽👏🏽 it gives them freedom to decide with what they want to live with, while also holding them accountable

I can’t use the plethora of African American hair products because of my little girl having low porosity/ coconut sensitive hair. Everything has coconut in the 1st few ingredients. Even some Caucasian products have coconut. In general I have to find hydrating products that are normally thought to be Caucasian products. Truth be told my mom used a VERY cheap shampoo and conditioner and I never seen her hair be so nice and less frizz. It had glycerin in it.
I’m still trynna find holy grail products that are quality.. but that cheap set has worked better than the VERY expensive set I was using .

I just subscribed to this truthful low porosity lesson Channel. I noticed that the hair stylist did not lower the temp for my very fine texture hair and low porosity. I believe I have heat damage. After about four days after a wash and a blow dry, my hair sheds bad. What can I use to strengthen it? Regards❤❤❤❤
