I don't want to beat a dead horse but find a way to afford a good water maker and a separate filtration system for drinking water if you don't your life aboard will become miserable. And on a lighter note the old salts saying is if you haven't been around you haven't been around

One more suggest a feeder pipe for your anchor rode is in order Aldo it is important not to just hose down the anchor but the rode as well eliminates dirt and salt water not only on them but also in the locker that houses them

Buy 2 or 3 pumps, you'll be glad you did

Aloha…Entertaining vlog. For your bistro chair/table, I like ‘em, I’d recommend placing rubber grommets/feet on the legs…it’ll prevent scuff marks to your decking. 🤙🛥️

Catfish are so good eating. You should get used to them as you will be able to catch them almost everywhere on the loop

Hey Guy I am loving your videos! Please WD-40 is. Cleaner. Water Displacement Formula 40. It can cause corrosion. Spraying your table that goes up and down will make it worst in time! I recommend a lithium grease or a cyclone grease.

Use caution when bringing up the RPM’s to get off a grounding. This could cause you to suck up a lot of sand into your engine

Great video. 2 suggestions - might want to get in the habit of rinsing your anchor chain to get the salt water off. Second, rather than cut holes in your floor for the table legs, see if you can shorten the table legs. A hole in the floor is a CO2 leak path and a path for engine room noise. Just a thought. Measure twice, cut once 😉

you sure the table doesn't have shorter legs that you swap out in place of the current ones? I have seen that in other boats where you change out the table leges when you lower it.

Make sure that you carry a small shop vac to suck up water. The shower bilge should be cleaned out monthly using the shop vac. Soap, hair, etc get into the shower sump pump and clog it. Your new pump should have a screen over the intake area of the pump.

Ripley’s face as she’s lowered from the flybridge is priceless! Adorable. Another great episode - it’s so fun watching you try things out and learn as you go…spending time on the boat is the only way to get to know it well, and the better you know it the more comfortable and confident you will be!

It may not be a high /low table. You could always get a set of shorter legs.

My wife keeps sending me pictures of boats she's found on the internet. I told he no ladders to the fly bridge and showed her this video to show why I want steps. She had a great suggestion. Think about those folding attic stairs. Said put 2 or 3 steps, hinged, at the bottom. fold them under when not using to keep cockpit space, but you can pull them out to make them less steep. Guess you have to hinge the top also. Probably doesn't solve the room at the top you think you'd have to cut out. Maybe there's a way to make a larger hatch to cover anything cut out. Might even be able to make the steps a little wider too.

Good morning Evan And Carlie, I hope I spelled thst right. Anyway this is Terry & Ruth and we love your channel. I do have a comment though. I watch the video when you did your first pump out. At least in the begining The liquid was going up and down. This tells me that the tank is empty. Make sure the liquid is going one way. Given that you had not pumped it out before there may be an issue. You may be discharging overboard so you may want to check that. Anyway we hope you both have a wonderful time doing the loop. Ruthie and I will be doing that as well in our 381 Meridian. We are in the planning stages now and hoping to start sometime next year. God Bless you both and may the Gods of the North, South, East & West keep you and all who sail on your boat safe.
